     Y/N's pov:

Once John and I walked in, we saw the three other bandmates and George Martin chatting in the recording room.

     "Morning!" John beamed.

"For once you make it on time!" Paul cheered. "Hello, Y/N." He quickly added.

     "Hello," I replied.

"So what were you thinking of recording today?" Paul asked his band members.

"I had a plan of doing It Won't Be Long first, then we can decide on the rest later." John suggested.

"Yeah, that's good." George Harrison nodded.

     "Cool." Ringo replied, simply.

"I'll get set up, you lads do too and you signal me when. Ms. Y/L/N, come with me." George Martin told everyone. I obeyed his order and followed him outside the recording room.

"So, what do you think of your boyfriend's band?" George asked me.

"They're good! And you? What do you think?" I replied.

"They're the best thing that's happened to me in a very long while. Their music is just pure and full of thought, passion, meaning and hard work. It's also very unique."

"What you said!" I laughed in agreement.

"Hey beautiful." Ringo said in his mic, looking at you through the glass. He gave you a wink which made you giggle and blush a little.

"Come off it, Rings! You got Maureen!" John said to him through the mic, laughing a bit but also slightly annoyed. Maybe he was jealous?

     "Maureen?" I questioned.

"Ringo's new girl." George Harrison answered.

"How long has it been?" I asked, now very intrigued.

"About a month, maybe a bit more." Ringo answered me.

"And I'm just hearing of this now?" I asked in disbelief.

"I guess. Don't repeat it to anyone, especially the media. I don't want it to go public yet in case things fail, y'know."

"Don't talk like that, Ringo! If you love each other, you'll make it work." As I said that, I glanced at John and smiled, who then smiled back.

"Thank you. But please don't say anythin'."

"Your secret's safe with me." You smiled now at him who smiled back in relief.

I can't believe John hadn't told me this earlier! I have to talk to him later about this. I thought to myself.

"We're ready, Marty!" Paul called out. George Martin nodded and started recording them as they began to sing and play,

     "It won't be long, yeah

     Yeah (yeah) yeah (yeah) yeah

     It won't be long, yeah

     Yeah (yeah) yeah (yeah) yeah

     It won't be long, yeah

     Yeah

'Til I belong to you -"

It took three tries before getting the right one. Once John and I got home I decided to confront him about Ringo's secret.

"John," I started. He looked at me as he hung his jacket. "Why didn't you tell me about Maureen?"

"Not sure. Must have forgot." He replied, simply. I couldn't use the excuse that he was lying because he seemed so genuine with his response that I knew it was true.

"Oh. Well, you know, that's something really important. Next time, tell me please." I said, calmly.

"Yeah, okay. I'm sorry but I was just too distracted by yer beauty - " He gave me a kiss on the cheek and the continued his sentence, "that it slipped me mind."

"Smooth." I replied. My tone was a mix of annoyed and charmed.
