"You really should consider of getting hitched"
Jungkook says as he looks over his shoulder, his dark shade of eyes meeting his little sister bright shade of brown.
Lisa blows air out of her mouth to send the lost, messy strand of her bangs back to its place. She has been trapping herself inside the funky gym for a solid two hours now and she doesn't plan to stop anytime soon.
"Whatever for?"
The secretary blurts put as she takes a ten seconds break from the treadmill she has been occupying since the moment she walked past the front door. "I bet we already passed this topic a few years ago"
"Guess we would have to make a return to it" her big brother winks as he walks lazily towards a very sweaty Lisa. "Because mama thinks it's good to bring it up again when you didn't attend the dinner tonight"
Lisa puffs her cheeks before setting up the setting of the treadmill again. As the machine starts to move, she looks at her big brother again.
"Well, tell her once you get home that my view is still the same as I gave her six years ago. I'm not looking for a relationship nor will I ever engage in one. Not after what happened with Miyeon"
"Lisa" Jungkook drags his voice before drawing closer to his little sister. "Miyeon is different. We all knew that she was a bitch and that she didn't deserve you in the first place" he describes cautiously, hoping he doesn't strain any of painful memories for his little sister.
Everyone knows how broken Lisa was six years ago. And how defensive the Thai has been since. She builds up a wall, clearly reluctant to fall again as she is not ready to break.
Last time when she did break, it wasn't pretty at all because Lisa had to learn to collect herself again and it was painful, excruciating even for her family to watch.
But ever since she found her current job and Roseanne, Jungkook notices that his little sister has changed.
She spends more time doing things she loves, that is to manage Roseanne and makes sure the CEO doesn't die while carrying out her job and to always be on the go that she has little time to think or remember about things that hurt her the most.
It is a little toxic but Jungkook knows Lisa wouldn't prefer it any other way.
"You might be right, Jungkook. But that doesn't mean I'm agreeing to meet someone else or whatsoever"
Lisa says and her tone is icy cold, the type of tone that Jungkook knows so damn well will lead into another feud between them if he keeps insisting and acting blind against the warning sign that Lisa is subtly sending out.
"I'm just saying that if you want me to look you up for someone, I'd be more than ready to do that"
"You don't know my taste" Lisa says, laughter inside her tone as she says so and her big brother grins. "Can't complaint on that but let's see if you give me the chance to look someone up for you"
