Rosie sighs heavily as she glares at the screen of her iphone for the umpteenth time. The last text that she has received from Lisa a few hours ago certainly has set her mood sour for the evening.
Lisa: Can't come. Something important needs my attention. Thanks ((received))
The blonde CEO is currently at the dinner she despises the most, surrounded by half of the Park family that she either knows or pretends to know and half of the Bae family that she doesn't even fucking know except for Suzy who is her big brother's fianceé now.
Her mother, Clare doesn't forget to send her a knowing look when Chanyeol makes his grand appearance, meaning to steal thunder like always. He smiles at Rosie and the blonde immediately feels like puking.
When the stench of Chanyeol's cologne assaults her nostrils, Rosie winces and fights the urge to puke. Her father might have seen her but who cares?
Everyone around the table knows that Rosie never interested in the marriage topic.
And considering that Chanyeol and his family is still that type of conservative family where marriage is required rather than just living in together, public knows they don't stand a chance together.
Except that Clare Park still hopes that they can.
"So, I've heard you are a big shot CEO now"
The man says, breaking the silence between him and Rosie and for a good one second, Rosie wishes she is born mute so that she doesn't have to entertain the douchebag asshole.
"Well, I'm glad you aren't deaf"
The blonde shots back with a very insincere smile and Chanyeol just laughs back awkwardly before running his fingers through his awfully green dyed hair. He looks like a total idiot and Rosie would really love to visit the salon that he went to get his hair done and probably congratulate the hairdresser for his awesome job.
"Oh, yes. I haven't forgot about how sarcastic you are"
The man says again, fixing the way his bowtie is wrapped around his neck. He whips his head to the left where Rosie sits and gives her the best of his charming smile which makes the blonde rolls her eyes and winces in disgust. "And I'm still out of your league, boy" she finishes with another top tier sarcasm that ultimately silence the asshole.
Opposite from where she sits, her mother shakes her head disapprovingly. Just when she thought that her youngest daughter would have changed after all these years of being reckless, she acts up with her attitude again.
Next to Rosie, her best friend of many years, Jennie nudges her shoulder with her own. A tall, wine glass is in between her thumb and her forefinger when Rosie looks at her. "Grumpy today, Park?"
"Well, you know how much I hate this type of party"
Rosie replies which earns both Jennie and Jisoo's chuckle.
