Rosie's pov

I look at the text again on the screen of my phone. I have not been able to read it properly since I have had a long day before lunch. Three fucking meetings and one long, overdue conference call with the company that has been my partner since the very beginning. I sigh tiredly as I slump against my office chair.

Lately that Lisa has been around, I am happy to say that I am able to take important calls inside the office room I have in my penthouse while she's out there in the living hall, looking after girls and perfecting her own task as my secretary.

I don't know what to label our relationship just yet. Yes, I know she loves me. She always has since the beginning. I guess, it's just me waiting to convince myself about how I really feel about her.

Clearing my throat as I click the notification to read further, I notice there is a bunch of unread texts from my family group on WhatsApp that I have muted for some reasons. Lazily, my thumbs click upon the group and the texts come to greet my sight.

Mama: Family gathering, everyone. Clear your schedule on Saturday 7th May

Jisoo: Not again. I ain't coming, please

Taehyung: I'm not sure if Suzy can make it on that day. But I'll try

Mama@rosieposie are you coming, baby?

Mama: You have to come. Your Halmoni has been asking about you

Jisoo: Lmao, I think she muted this group lol

Mama: Shut up, Jisoo ... Rosie honey?

I drop my phone on my lap as I drag my arm to cover my eyes. I hate family gathering. Most of the time, people will use this opportunity to stick their noses into my business and I don't like it.

Dad's family is going to be present and so does from my mom's side so you can pretty much imagine what a great chaos it's going to be.

Lisa walks in with a mug of coffee that I love a moment later. A smile naturally lights up her face when she sees me. "Hi" I say shyly and she mumbles the same thing back, except when she clears her throat, the smile is gone and the grim chief secretary Manoban is back.

"Are you okay?" she checks on me and I voluntarily nod even though I'm still contemplating about what my reply is going to be to mama in the group.

"Don't lie" she perks her eyebrows upwards and I internally curse. She always knows how to read me well. "What's wrong, love?"

"Nothing" I press my lips together as if that would help to lessen the redness on my cheeks when I hear she calls me by that term of endearment. "It's just" I sit up straight back on the chair as my eyes catch her brown ones. "Family gathering. Stupid stuff. You know it too"
