Derek spit angrily into the sink as he finished brushing his teeth. His hand tightened on the edge of the porcelain sink as he reflected back on the night's events.

As soon as the words were out of Stiles mouth, Derek had hurled the note book in his hand at his head. Scott had caught it before it could make contact.

The idea of Delilah being a fairy was absolutely preposterous. Fairies simply did not exist. Never had and never would. His own mother had even confirmed it when Cora has instead she was one when she was 5.

"There are lots of creatures that roam this Earth, but unfortunately we are not lucky enough to share it with them."

He trusted his mother's words, even all these years later. So, the idea that Stiles was trying to tell her that his Delilah was one only made him mad. It really didn't help that he had included a photo of her with wings drawn on her back. This was serious.

The living room had cleared quickly after his outburst and it was surprising Delilah hadn't come down to investigate the commotion.

Issac was confused by what happen and had quickly seen the others out before locking the door behind him. Derek remained in the living room with his heads in his hands. Issac reentered the room and picked up the notebook from the coffee table where Scott had placed it before leaving. Derek had half a mind to grab the book from him and throw it again. Instead he stood from the chair and decided he was done for the night, leaving Issac alone to read through the notes.

Derek spit into the skin again and rinsed his mouth under the faucet.

He turned from the bathroom and stopped in the doorway when he saw Delilah was already in bed. Her head was on his pillow again, a usual occurrence for when she was in bed by herself.

Seeing her, lightened his heart and he couldn't help but instinctually move closer to her. Like a moth drawn to a flame, she always said.

Delilah sighed in her sleep as she rolled onto her stomach. Her shoulder blades stood out promptly as her arms snaked under his pillow to draw it closer to herself.

She didn't react as the bed dipped when Derek crawled onto what would be her side so he could situate himself behind her. He watched as she continued to peacefully breathed into his pillow. Derek smiled and as lightly as possible, traced his fingers down her spine. He was trying to picture her with wings, like the ones Cora used to wear around the house. It didn't feel quite right to him.

Delilah sighed again as she felt the warmth from Derek's body and moved so she was pressed against him.

Derek wrapped his arm around her and placed a light kiss on her shoulder. He knew he had reacted poorly downstairs and would need to apologize for his horrible behaviour. If he didn't himself, Delilah would surely make him and that means he would need to tell everything.

Delilah awoke to soft kisses on her neck. She groaned as she turned to the direction of the lips.

"Good morning beautiful."

"5 more minutes."

"No, can do," Derek said as he ran his hands up her side. "You promised, the school you would be in today as your 'flu' has passed."

Delilah groaned again. "I'd much rather stay here all day with you." She had turned on  the bed to fully face him.

He was to still dressed for sleeping and Delilah smiled when she saw he wasn't wearing a shirt.

"Why are you so pretty?" She asked with a pout as she traced his chest.

"Got to keep myself in shape for this girl I like."
