(Anabia's pov)

I climbed up the staircase and was walking to my room, humming a tune, when I saw him walking down the corridor in a rush. I ran up to him.

"Asfandyaar bhaijaan?" I said, grabbing his sleeve to stop him from walking forward. He didn't turn around to face me.

"Bia abhi nahi, hmmm? I'm not in a good place right now." His voice was soft and low. It held a sad quality to it. I had never heard him like this before. He sounded so beaten down.

(Bia, not now, hmmm?)

I didn't let go of his sleeve and walked around him so that I was standing in front of him. Nothing could prepare me for what I saw next. His jaw was clenched, and his eyes were bloodshot.

"Kya hua hai?" I asked, concern lacing my voice. He tore his gaze away from me and looked down.

(What happened?)

"Kuch nahi hua. Tum jao aur meri fikr mat karo. Mein theek hun." He started to walk away but I didn't let him go.

(Nothing. You go and don't worry about me. I am fine.)

"Kya matlab kuch nahi hua? Abhi bataen mujhe, kya baat hai?" I insisted.

(What do you mean, nothing happened? Tell me now, what is the matter?)

"Bia-"

"Please." I don't know why but I didn't like seeing him like this. As much as I called him 'hitler' and considered him khadus at times, I still wanted to know what was bothering him.

He sighed and gave into my request. "Mein kuch chahta tha lekin woh ho nahi saka. Meri zindagi ka sab se important aspect tha aur jo mein chah raha tha woh nahi ho sakta." He said staring in space, lost in his own thoughts.

(I wanted something but it didn't happen. It was the most important aspect of my life and what I wanted could not happen.)

"Idhar dekhein."

(Look here.)

"Bia please."

"Dekhein na." He finally looked at me and met my eyes. I clutched onto his arm harder. "Don't give up, okay? Jo bhi aap chahte hain who zarur ho ga as long as you don't give up."

(Look, please.)(Don't give up, okay? Whatever it is you want will surely happen as long as you don't give up.)

"Tumhe kaise pata ke who zarur ho ga?"

(How do you know that it will happen?)

"Kyun ke bas mujhe pata hai. Aap mujh pe trust karein."

(I just know. Trust me.)

"Acha." He replied, a hint of a smile playing on his lips.

(Ok.)

"Aur yeh kya halat bana rakhi hai?" I said referring to his dishevelled appearance. "Apki iss side se zyaada toh apki hitler side achi hai." I spoke without thinking.

(And what condition are you in?)(Your hitler side is better than this side.)

"Hitler side?" He said, raising his eyebrow. My eyes widened as I realised what I had just said.

"Haan... mera matlad nahi. I'm sorry, ghalti se muh se nikal gaya. I mean, aap toh hitler ke bilkul opposite hain. Aap mein bohot achi qualities hain."

(Yeah...I mean, no. I'm sorry, I accidentally said that. I mean, you are the opposite of hitler. You have such good qualities in you.)

"Acha, jaise ke..." He looked at me expectantly.
