caught in a Web

chapter 50

(Langauge warning)
As Miles and Gwen returned home they decided that they would sit down and just watch some TV as they felt like they deserved some time to relax and take there minds off saving the city. As they were watching some sit com that Gwen loved but Miles wasn't to bothered about. He spoke up and asked Gwen
"So what do you think about Cindy?"
Gwen looked up at Miles as she replied back to him
"She seems ok and easy to be around but there is something in my head telling me she's hiding something but I can't figure out what exactly."
Miles raised his eyebrows before replying back to her
"I'm glad you think that as well but it can't be a bad thing though if Miguel wants us to train her."
Gwen nodded before saying
"Yeah obviously he sees something in her and had Miguel ever let us down before?"
Miles responded back
"If anything we owe Miguel he's helped us far to much though I will always be so thankful to him for reconnecting us that eventually led to this (Pointing to his wedding ring)"
Gwen smiled before saying back
"Yeah we do ow him big time"
After there little talk Gwen went back to watching her show whist Miles was just scrolling through his phone on social media until it finished. When it finished it was 11pm and they were both exhausted so called it a night. The next morning Gwen was up at the crack of dawn but as she woke up something wasn't right she felt as if she was being punched right in the gut every 5 seconds then suddenly she burst out of the room and ran to the bathroom where she started throwing up. She threw up  for around 5 minutes when she started to think what it could be that's caused it she thought to herself
"Maybe it's the food from last night? No it couldn't be otherwise it would of kept me up all night and Miles hasn't been ill at all. Wait I was due to my period 2 days ago" at this moment Gwen started to panic as she said "no fuck no fuck I can't be I'm to young to have a child but I'm late I need to check." She composed herself as she went back into the room and quietly got dressed so that she didn't wake Miles up after getting dressed she made her way down to the local store where she picked up a pregnancy test but to avoid suspicion she knew they needed some milk and eggs for the appartment so she bought them alongside the test. As she arrived home she noticed Rio was in the living room looking at her laptop with a cup of coffee. Rio noticed Gwen she looked up and said
"Morning Gwen your up early everything OK?"
Gwen suddenly started to sweat before she replied back to Rio
"Yeah everything is fine I just remembered we were low on Milk and Eggs so went to get some more plus I felt like I should go since I need to more to help"
Rio gave her a questionable look before she responed back
"Gwen you didn't have to I could of done it on the way home from work and you already do enough to help out"
Gwen thanked Rio for that news. Rio then went back to checking her laptop as Gwen went and put the milk and the eggs away and quickly sticking the test into her hoodie pocket making sure no one saw. After putting the stuff away she quickly made her way to the bathroom. As she shut the door behind her Rio said to herself outloud
"Ok she's definitely hiding something"
