84. Spooky

"What if I... don't go?"

"Y/N-san..."

You looked at Goshiki who was walking alongside you, letting out a deep and long sigh as you nodded.

"Okay, okay. Well, hopefully the second day is better?"

Goshiki hummed, smiling brightly at you. "I'm sure it will be! And I'll be right next to you if anything Y/N-san."

You puffed out a small laugh, nodding as you ruffled his hair with your free hand before letting it rest on his shoulder.

Yea... just gotta stop overthinking it so much.

You hummed to yourself, trying to think positively as you listened to Goshiki ramble about some technique he was trying to learn.

What's the worst that could happen?

"I don't like you."

You reached up to your face, wiping off some of the spit that had fallen onto your face as you looked at the girl in front of you.

"Well damn, right to my face?" You smirked, crossing your arms as you looked at the second year in front of you.

"Captain!" She huffed, turning around to look at Michimiya who only raised a brow at her antics. "Why is she coaching us?! And why do you and the rest of the third years treat her with so much respect!"

Michimiya sighed, softly shaking her head as she looked back up at you. "I'll take her aside."

"Oi!" Goshiki snarled, shocking you both as he began to argue with the second year.

You stopped the ball in your hands as you set a hand on Goshiki's shoulder, lightly pulling him back. "I'll keep it going then."

She nodded, turning to the second year and pulling her out of the gym. You watched them leave, humming in content before turning to look back at the others.

"Well then... should I re-introduce myself?" You grinned, looking around at the deafening silence the Karasuno girls' were giving you.

"Yes Y/N-san, re-introduce yourself!" A small voice chirped, all of you following it to see Goshiki standing beside some of the Karasuno girls. He cupped his hands around his mouth, smiling cheekily when you met his eye.

You lightly snickered, waving him over as he skipped towards you. "I'm Oikawa Y/N, a second year at Shiratorizawa and a starter for their girls' volleyball team." You said, ruffling Goshiki's hair once he was at arm's length from you and pulled him in with your free arm. "I won't be coaching you, because in all honesty I don't have time for that, but I'll be stopping by whenever I can to help you all out, as requested by your captain; any questions?"

You saw as some of the girls nodded, turning back to the doors to see Michimiya walk in with a pouty second year in tow.

"Okay then! I'll explain the first drill for you all, with the help of Tsutomu." You continued, breathing out as you nodded at Goshiki, having already gone over the order of drills on your walk there.

You inwardly sighed, mentally and physically preparing yourself for the day ahead of you. A day you would spend orchestrating volleyball drills you'd learned from your past camps.

Let's hope this goes better than yesterday

"Okay! So first..."

You sat on the steps outside of the gym, looking up as you waited for Goshiki to come back with the filled water bottles. The bouncing of balls and small chatter was heard inside the gym.
