Day Trip

While I was on water duty, Clarke came up to me.

"Hey the council wants to see you. They're just surprised that you survived since you're the youngest here." She sighs

"Um okay..." I say then follow Clarke into the tent.

"Hello Aurora. We were delighted to hear that that you are in perfect health and weren't injured at all while on Earth." Chancellor Jaha says

"Yeah I guess it's cool. Earth is hard to survive on when you have to make your own shelter and hunt your own food I guess." I chuckle

"Well after looking at your files, and talking to Clarke, it seems to me that you are much happier here than you were in SkyBox. Even before you were confined." Jaha complimented.

"Uh yeah I mean having fresh air, lots of water, and a huge space to live on can change someone's life." I roll my eyes

"Well we wanted to really talk to you about... your family. You have no family on the ark. Your father was caught stealing drugs and your mother..." Jaha frowned

I cleared my throat at the mention of my mom and I didn't know my dad was dead but I didn't really care since he was abusive.

"Your point?"

"You turned 11 a week ago according to your files so by law, when we come to Earth you must be adopted by a family." Jaha says

I was flabbergasted

"What?! Clarke is basically my mom and Octavia is like the older sister I never had! Clarke is already 18 so can't she just become my guardian?!" I whinnied

I really did not want to be adopted by a family that would probably not want me.

"Sir she dose have a point. I mean Clarke is a legal adult and she has accomplished so much on the ground." The vice Chancellor said

Jaha grumbled and turned to us "how about we table this for now. We will discuss this when we come to Earth."

"I think that's a better idea Chancellor Jaha." I smirk before leaving.

Octavia runs up to me and grabs my hand.

"Come on! Miller is going to talk to his dad any moment now! This'll be our chance to talk to the grounder. The only thing he said to us is some weird word and thank you!"

"Don't have to ask me twice."

We waited for about 5 minutes before Miller left to talk to his dad and we quickly climbed up the ladder.

"Hi we don't have a lot of time." Tavia said

"We brought you some water." I said while handing Tavia the canister

He greedily drank which made me feel sad knowing Bellamy and his goons were starving him and were barely giving him any water.

"Sorry we weren't able to see you since everything happened. My brother has been keeping us away." She sighs

"He's a total dick." I grumble but they hear me

Both Octavia and the grounder snicker at my comment

"So you do understand us! When you spoke some other language, I thought you didn't speak or understand English." Tavia said

While she was cleaning him up he spoke again,

"My name is Lincoln."

"Lincoln. I'm Octavia and that's Aurora." She said looking at me

"Is that all your goanna say?" I ask

"It's not safe for us to talk." He replies

"Well if it's not safe, then why'd you tell us your name?" Tavia asks

"I want you two to remember me when I'm dead." He says with no emotion

"You're not goanna die don't say that. Right Tavia?" I say

"Damn right."

"Octavia, Aurora... this only ends one way."

"Then just talk to them. Tell them you're not the enemy!" Tavia begs

"I am."

Suddenly the hatch opens and Miller comes in.

"Octavia, Aurora get the hell out." Miller grumbles

"Bellamy isn't even here!" Tavia protests

"Get out or he gets a beating I've been meaning to give him!" Miller threatens

"Okay we're gone."

"Yo go grab the extra clothes we're getting Lincoln out. I gave Miller some nuts that make you see things so I hope you didn't eat the rations." Tavia smiled

I smirked and nodded, "On it."

I run to the drop ship and grab the extra clothes and meet Tavia on the upper level.

She unchains him as I climb up the ladder.

I throw him the clothing as he stumbles on the ground.

"Why are you doing this?"

"Just get dressed." I say as Tavia and I help him get the jacket on

"They'll know you helped me." He groaned

"Hey you said it yourself. If you stay here you'll die we won't let that happen." Tavia replies

"I'm not goanna put you two in danger." He protested

"We need to do this now." I said, ignoring him

"Even in these clothes, I'll be seen." He reminds us

"Yeah well my people are seeing plenty of things now." Tavia reassured him

We helped him up once he was fully dressed.

"What did you do?"

"Set out some of our winter rations a bit early." She smiled

"Jobi nuts. The food you gave my guard, they go bad and they cause visions, but it wears off." He explains

"Dude you just have to get as far away as you can." I say

"Yeah try not to get yourself killed while you're at it." Tavia adds

Before he leaves he kisses Tavia then nods to me

"Damn..."

Tavia and I decide it would be a good idea to not be seen together for the rest of the day so people wouldn't think it was us.

I was sitting with Raven, talking and laughing with her then Miller runs out of the dropship

"The grounder is gone!" He yelled

"What if he brings other grounders back?" Jasper says with worry

Then, Bellamy and Clarke finally arrive.

"Let the grounders come! We've been afraid of them for too long and why? Because of their knives and spears? I dounno about you but I'm tired of being afraid." He said

Him and Clarke dropped a bunch or rifles on the ground causing whispers and gasps to erupt from the delinquents

"These are weapons not toys okay?and we have to be prepared to give them up when our people come down. But until then they will help keep us safe." Clarke says

Well this should go well.
