Aurora

We watch Praimfaya consume Polis on one of the drones before we see static.

"It's 210 miles from Polis to the island. According to what was our last drone, the wave is accelerating. If we're not off the ground in at least 20 minuets before it hits, the electromagnetic charge in the pyroclastic cloud will shut down the rockets avionics, meaning it won't fly. That gives us 90 minuets to run a 6-hour preflight check, retrieve the oxygen generator, turn a cockpit designed for 2 into one that can carry 9, and load the cargo hold with enough food to keep us from starving in space while we wait for the algae bloom." Raven explains

"Thought you said it was goanna be hard." Murphy jokes

"That's not the hard part. Becca designed the rocket to dock Polaris, not the Ark. that means I have to pilot it into the hanger bay on the ring."

"What's so hard about that?" Harper asks

"That's not the hard part either."

"What is the hard part Raven?" I sigh

"Assuming we blast off in time, C02 scrubbers on a two person rocket won't support 9 of us."

"So we use supplemental oxygen." I suggest

"Our tanks only hold an hour of air." Monty reminded

"Correct. We'll have one hour to get into orbit, land into the hanger bay, and fire up life support system. Using an oxygen generator built to supply a lighthouse bunker." Raven finishes

"You suck at talking people into things." Murphy sighs

"Anyone here still need to be talked into this?" Bellamy questions

Silence

"Good. Now we know the many ways we could die today. Why don't you tell us how we can live?" Bellamy nods

Raven nods then sets a timer for us.

___

Clarke and I had to go outside to the tower to turn the power on the ring since comms was offline.

"The towers less than a mile away. One more time. All you have to do is plug this into the junction box at the base of the tower. Sat-star-one is the name of the dish. Everything is set. Once the tablet is connected, the dish will align itself with the Ark. the graphic will flash green, and that's how you know it's locked on. When it says send, hit send. Any questions?" Raven finished

"Yeah why're you smiling?" I ask

"Without comms, even with the power on, we still can't open the hanger bay door from inside the rocket."

"Wait how is that good?" Clarke nods

"She gets to take her space walk." I smirk

Suddenly, we see Murphy come from the woods alone, carrying the oxygenator. He falls to the ground and we help him up

"Murphy! Where's Monty?" Clarke asks

"He's in trouble. He had to expose his hands. He passed out. Look if we go back now we can make it."

"I'll go get Bellamy to help Murphy. You two go!" Raven orders

We nod and run towards the tower.
___

We make it to the tower and open the box. I take out the tablet and Clarke plugs it in.

"Dish not aligned."

"What?!" Clarke yells

I look at the instructions on the side.

"Clarke... it's manual operation." I say

"No no no."

She grabs the radio, "Raven. Whatever happens. Don't wait for us."

We being climbing up the tower and I try to not look down.

Once we were more than half way up, we see the rocket launch and let out a relieved sigh.

"Clarke we have to hurry."

"Right."

We make it to the top and once again plug the tablet in.

"Dish not aligned. Manual override recommended."

"Come on turn!" Clarke yells

"Clarke we have to move the dish. Stay here. I'll move it and you tell me when it says it's aligned. We don't have time to argue." I order

She nods and I make my way up to the dish. I move it a little bit up and she nods 'no'

I sigh then move it down a little bit. She nods 'no' again

I huff and move the dish far up and Clarke nods "yes!"

I come back down next to Clarke only to see the screen had gone black.

"No!" She yells before throwing the tablet

"Clarke..."

I point to the death wave coming towards us and we quickly climb down. While we were running, Clarke had tripped and cracked her helmet. We run inside of Becca's lab just as the death wave hit and Clarke had radiation burns on her face and was coughing blood. The lights went out and I tried to wake up Clarke but she wouldn't budge.

I felt her pulse and she was thankfully still alive. I carried her to the bedroom upstairs and laied her down on the soft bed before taking off my suit.

"Last two people on Earth..." I mumble

SIX YEARS LATER

We were woken up by Clarke stoking our hair.

"Nou wochop deyon. Beja." Maddie groans No lessons today. Please.

We hear a... ship?

"No way." I gasp

"Snap kom dalop, nami." Clarke smiles at our reactions. Took you long enough.

Maddie first ran out and Clarke and I exchanged huge smiles.

"I thought you said the ship was small?"

We quickly ran up to Maddie and looked at the huge ship. It definitely wasn't our friends.

"Maddie go get my rifle now." Clarke orders

Maddie quickly ran to the rover and came back with Clarke's rifle. Clarke pointed the rifle at the ship and looked through the scope.

"We're here! We're here!" Maddie waved

"No keep you're voice down." I shushed

"I want you to back up the rover. Get it out of sight and load the guns." Clarke orders, worried

"All of them?"

"Yes."
