"What did she say about the Flame?" Clarke asks

"Alie 2.0. She saw it as a way to atone for her sins. She designed it not to just access the human mind but to merge with one. It could never wipe us out because it would be one of us. She would put it in herself first. Altered her genes so her body would wouldn't reject the flame." Raven explained

"Bekka Pramheda. The first Commander. The gene therapy made her blood black, right?" Clarke asks

"Yeah."

"How do you know that?" I question

"Nightblood. That's where it came from. Somehow it became hereditary. Luna has it. That's why we have to find her. If she can access Alie-2, she can tell us how to stop Alie." Clarke says

"Uh so tell me why we can't just make me Commander since it's my birth right and I'm actually a novelty? Lincoln told us how Luna ran from the conclave because she didn't want to be Commander but I do. I'm willing to bear the flame but she isn't." I groan

"Because you're a child. And it puts a target on your back." Bellamy interjects

"All Commanders have targets on their backs. Lexa was around my age when she became Commander! If I could just ascend no-"

"I said no. That's final. You're too young." Bellamy refuses.

"Now I know how you feel, Tavia." I sigh

"Eyes sharp. Weapons hot. We're almost home." Bellamy announced

Bellamy picked up the radio, "Miller come in. Harper you there? Your rides two minutes out."

No response

"Good start." I joke

We approached the front of Arkadia and it looked abandoned.

"We left two days ago. Why haven't they fixed the gate?" Clarke questions

"Maybe cause there's no one here to fix it." Jasper replied

"It's like a ghost town." Tavia frowns

"Maybe they got chipped?" I question

"If they got chipped, they would be waiting for us here." Bellamy reminds

"Maybe they saw the open gate and went for Lincoln's book." Jasper theorized

"Maybe you should stop saying maybe." Tavia grumbles, annoyed

"If they are chipped, Alie already knows we're coming." Clarke sighs

We stop at the spot where Lincoln was killed and there was still a small puddle of his blood.

I clear my throat and look away.

"Let's get his book and get the hell out of here." Tavia says, choking back tears

"That's a plan I can support." Jasper agrees

We quickly get inside and close the door. There was absolutely no one there.

"It's like they got up and walked away." I said, confused

"We're in and out. Pack as much gear into the rover as you can." Bellamy orders

"I'll get the map." Tavia says before walking off

"I'll uh go with her." Jasper says

"You really don't wanna load gear, huh?" I question
