Kanina pa ako nakaempake. I brought a lot of clothes because it won't be a three-day conference. We will extend.

I need to do my last round before we leave in the afternoon.

I also saw the OR schedule. Ivana has an OR scheduled with me. Two hours from now. Sadyang pinagpalit ko ang schedule namin ni Ibarra para makasama ko si Ivana. She is so good at fixing her own schedule to avoid me for the last few days. Nangulila ako. It made me angry and pissed all the time because I'm breathing the same air with her but not even seeing her. I almost cursed at Ibarra for approving all her schedules. Pinag-aralan kong mabuti ang kaso ng pasyenteng ooperahan ko sa OR mamaya. I am hitting two birds with one stone, seeing Ivana and helping a patient at the same time but I know the sole reason for this sacrifices I make. It's still her. Years had passed, I have never involved myself with a another woman. Si Ivana lang. I never touched nor kissed Mhysty. Dahil alam kong may mali. I have hurt the woman I love. Sobra. At hindi ko alam kung paano ko siya mababawi. I'm losing, but I don't have any plans of giving up.

I know that it's a risky procedure but I'm more than excited to be with her for the duration of the surgery.

" Do you have another surgery after this?" Talking with the chief became a daily routine for me. I saw him smile like an idiot.

" 3 hours is enough, Dr. Montenegro. I cannot hand to you my next surgery and Ivana won't be my first assist for that. Mag aalburuto iyun sa galit kung magkasunod ang surgeries niyan." He told me. I gazed at the lists of upcoming surgeries.

I saw fucking Jed's name in a surgery scheduled at 5 in the evening with Dr. Ibarra.

" Change this schedule. Matatapos ko ang unang surgery mo at ako ang gagawa nung pangalawa para sa 'yo. Let me scrub in as the head surgeon." I told him.

" And you like Jed as your assist?" He questioned

" Remove that motherfucker. Put Ivana instead" He laughed.

" Hindi puwede. Dr. Fajardo will sue me. She will make a scandal out of it. Mang-aaway na naman iyun and Ja will kill me for this. Masyadong pinapahalagahan ng asawa ko ang mabungangang babae na iyun. Pinaglilihian ata si Ivana. I can't seriously take it if my daughter will act and look like Ivana." Harap harapan niyang nilalait si Ivana ko. Well damn him.

" You shut up Doctor. Si Ivana ang pinag-uusapan natin." I told him. He fucking laughed

" You love her so much, Luigi. I was present during your last brain surgery. Pinatawag ako ng ama mo sa America. I have witnessed how you fucking called for her name despite being in so much pain but no Ivana came. You almost want to give up. Alam ko rin na nagkaroon ka ng amnesia pagkatapos ng huli mong operasyon. You almost died in that OR bed, Dr. Montenegro. I thought you will die. Milagro na nabuhay ka pa. You both struggled a lot. Naging tahimik din si Ivana ng ilang taon pagkatapos niyong maghiwalay. The pain of losing you was also too much for her to bear." He told me.

" I'm giving you an opportunity to make her change her mind and choose you, Dr. Montenegro. Dahil pormal na akong kinausap ni Dr. Alfonso, he will marry Ivana next month. And that is next week. I approved of him. He is also a good man. Pero kilala ko ang pinsan ko. She may be as cold as a cadaver but her feelings for you may have not changed at all. Huwag mong daanin sa kama, I suggest. Iyan din ang ginawa ko kay Ja noon, iniwan ako. Di ko alam sumuyo ng babae pero para kay Ja, natutunan kong gawin." He told me. I smirked.

Losing her is my only fear.

" You approved of her changes in schedule." I faced him

" She used Ja. Inaway ako ng asawa ko dahil dun. Janine will not talk to me unless I approve of Ivana's change of schedule. Those women are comparable to scalpels. Di mo masisimulan ang trabaho mo kung wala iyun." He told me.
