Synopsis/plot: In a time when dreams seem out of reach, a teen fencer pursues big ambitions and meets a hardworking young man who seeks to rebuild his life. At ages 22 and 18, they say each other's names for the first time, and at ages 25 and 21, they fall in love. In 1998, Na Hee-do (Kim Tae-ri) is a member of the school fencing team at Seonjung Girls' High School, but due to the IMF crisis, the team is disbanded. To continue pursuing her passion, she transfers to Taeyang High School and later manages to become a member of the National Fencing Team. Baek Yi-jin's (Nam Joo-hyuk) family goes from "riches to rags" and are separated due to the financial crisis. He is forced to take up several part-time jobs and later becomes a sports reporter. In present day, Kim Min-chae (Choi Myung-bin), Na Hee-do's daughter, quits ballet and "runs away" to her grandma's house. During her stay, she comes across her mother's diary, which the story is then told through.

My thoughts: ohoho here comes the other viral kdrama HAHA other than business proposal and prosecutor doberman. ok but srsly I get why it's so popular, the plot and setting are just very different compared to in business proposal and although kim taeri is 31yrs old she was able to portray the high school student role so perfectly! her acting skills are extraordinary and she potrayed the 18yr old high schooler so well. she totally added that SPICE to her character🫶🏻 also I've learnt so much from this drama. they taught abt hardships like poverty, competition, friendship, love but they were still able to get through everyone of them. and ik why so many ppl hated the ending ⚠️ spoiler: cuz they broke up and didn't get back tgt but even still, it's very realistic. they didn't end as strangers or enemies because like i said, they were able to clear the misunderstanding. no matter how long it takes, i hope you guys nvr give up and sooner or later, whether it takes 5 or 10 yrs the misunderstanding will be resolved by itself. this drama is truly beautiful ❤️
