(3rd POV)

There was silence. An overwhelming and suffocating quietude. Theseus could forget about everything, about how Ranboo replaced him, how his father spent time with Ranboo instead of him, about how Wilbur's only hobby was annoying and pushing him, about how Technoblade was never forced to do anything, about how Technoblade could've been Crown Prince instead of Theseus and saved him from the suffering, about how everyone abandoned him, about how-

drip.

What was that?

...

That was not a welcome noise.

...

Well, now that it's gone, the darkness felt like home. It was warm and soft, it invited you in, like it was softly pulling you towards-

drip.

...

Where is that coming from? There is no faucet. There are no pipes. There are no puddles or clouds, there is no sky, rain, or pond to drip from. There is nothing! So where is it coming from?

...

Theseus was truly alone. Like he'd always wanted. He was alone in the quiet, everything was incredibly tranquil and he was content. There was no one to bother him, no father to berate him, no brother to tease him, no servant to leave him, no commoner to replace him, no guard to catch him, no-

drip.

Seriously, where is that water coming from? This is paradise! You are alone-

drip.

You are going to be happy! You will be happy! You will single-handedly bring joy to yourself and you will never have to use those stupid titles, you won't need manners for those entitled dukes and duchesses or that stupid father-

drip.

(Wisp POV)

At first, I heard three loud bangings on the wall. This alone set me off, but I hadn't quite understood there was danger until I heard the scream from inside. I could tell this wasn't the prince's but the scream alone sent me to throw open the door and rush inside. Prince Theseus stood over his desk, thick red liquid trailed from his scalp and landed on the papers in front of him, he stood there, whispering and mumbling to himself while letting the blood drip. I stepped forward and helped Tubbo to his feet, only for him to stumble back again. I kept a hand on his back and I let him lean on my torso for support, as I held the shaken boy I looked around the room.

Why was it so messy? The papers were scattered, a giant splotch of ink that stained the wall near the door sat strangely, as if it was questioning why it was there too, and the decor was in total disarray. The wall the banging had come from was spotted with blood and a large pool of scarlet red liquid dripped from a point that flowed with an eeriness that screamed of danger.

"Prince Theseus! Are you alright?" I yelled, lightly setting Tubbo down on the floor. As I approached I could tell Theseus wasn't himself. It was strange, looking at someone and being able to tell that they aren't them. But, if at all possible, he looked like someone had taken his body and was drunk with maddening joy that they'd gotten him. My steps slowed as I grew more cautious around the Prince.
