Life still goes on (Lexa/you)

chapter thirty one

it was festival day meaning i'll be performing today in front of my home town

i was walking around looking at all the games and food stands with Marie we were asked to perform when the sun wasn't out for my sake which works awesome because the lights here are actually pretty

i felt Marie nudge my arm "look ahead" i turned to where she was looking and the direction she had her eyes on was lexa and a bunch of her friends and of course. costia

she caught me staring so we both stood there just looking at each other
i thought we were good, she never hugged me or at least put her hand around me, it's like she's scared but all i do is give her a small smile

i feel like the fool to not make the first move like how am i able to be all touchy with luna but when it comes to her i just can't.

i grabbed Marie's hand and pulled her towards the stage to check it out

i got up on the stage walking around it for a bit it's a little T shaped staged which is my favourite

"you guys ready" my dad said handing both me and Marie mic's "let's do a little sound test" he was helping the staff

both of us goofed around with the sound waiting for everyone to finish setting the stage up

we were laughing and joking around
"i think we're ready to go" my dad said popping out of no where making us both jump and he started busting a gut laughing "marie you're up first so get ready"

Marie started getting ready slowly making sure her mic is still good and her Guitar is working properly

"are you going to help me do my wires or are you just gonna sit there" she spoke up

"you know what Marie i think ima sit here" i laughed and she threw a towel at me and i got up making my way towards her, i made sure the wire wasn't sitting awkwardly and hooked it up on the back of her pants

i made my way off the stage but to the side

"are you excited to perform" i felt someone besides me i already knew it was clarke i turned towards her and saw her with raven and luna who made her way towards me wrapping her arms around me securely "you're gonna do amazing" she whispered

"okay love birds Marie is about to start and i don't wanna see y'all loving each other up" clarke exclaimed making me blush

"shut up clarke you act like you and raven aren't eating each other's faces when i hang out with you" luna stated playfully rolling her eyes

Marie started playing "i wanna be your girlfriend"

making Clarke snap her neck towards me "I DIDNT KNOW SHE WAS THE GIRL IN RED" i rolled my eyes "well obviously"

all the girls in the group were singing
"lesbians all of you" i said in my mind making my self laugh

after Marie sang a few songs i found myself behind the stage getting ready to go up next i was getting a little nervous watching her walk towards me and she hugged me "you're gonna do great y/n knock them dead also lexa is in front roll standing with clarke raven luna and costia" making me more nervous to go up

i slowly walked up the stage stairs and onto the stage hearing everyone cheer which made me smile and wave i made my way towards the mic in the middle of the stage

the music started and i began to sing and closed my eyes

"We broke up a month ago
Your friends are mine, you know, I know"  i held onto the mic with both of my hands still singing with my eyes closed
