Chapter 5

Winnie POV :||

I went to my room when I got home. Mel came in seconds later, and she shut the door. "Mel, I think fancy Richie." I blurt out, dancing around my room.

I was giggling and I felt bubbly. I felt as if I could just fly! I took Mel's hands and spun her around with me . "Mel! I'm so happy!" I laughed. I was a giggly mess, and at dinner I was just laughing.

"What's up with my Winnie?" dad ask. Mel smirks and laughs. "She fancies someone." she says, as dad and mum exchange looks. "I fancy Richie Starkey." I giggle, chocking on my water.

"Winnie, this isn't like you..." mum says. I nod. "That's because I feel normal for once!" I say, leaving the dinner table and dancing around it. "In just... happy!" I say, hugging my dog, Lee.

Lee is a boxer. She's brown and white, and very cuddly. She sleeps with me every night, and walks with Mel sometimes. "Lee, I'm in love! What do you think?"

Lee wags her tail, and gives a triumphant bark. "Good girl!" I say. "Winnie, please eat your supper before it gets cold!" mum scolds,

I sit back in my chair and smile. "Thanks Mel. For breaking my shell just a bit."
