Chapter 36

Melanie's POV

I got a call from George one Sunday afternoon. It was a week after Ringo had last came to visit, I was sitting on my window seat with a cup of tea and my notebook.

When the one rang, I took my time and trudged over yawning as did. Picking up the phone, George's calming voice started to speak. But today, there was a spike in his ever so calm nature.

"Hello?" I answered

"Mel, it's George" He replied

"What's up?" I asked, curious as he took him time answering

"Winnie. She's been going through stuff, and she sorta hit her breaking point" George said slowly

"And?" I said, having my heart start to race in worry

"She ended up in the hospital after she slit every part of her body that she could find, now she's home and there's doctors coming over to see if she's mentally stable, if not they're hauling her to the crazy house" George sighed

"I imagined her breaking point being much worse" I bluntly stated

"That's not the point, just come back to Liverpool for a day or two. She needs you, even if you want to distance yourself" George implied

"George I can't... I can't go back" I said torn now between my old life and the new one I've both created and adapted to

"Melanie" George said in distant voice

"I can't" I sighed, bitting my nail

"Then I'll come get you" George said sternly

"George I don't think-"

"No Melanie, you need to stop running from your past, myself, Paul and John will be up to get you in three hours, and you are coming" George ordered

"Bloody 'ell George" I said exasperated

"I'll see you soon"

With that he hung up the phone. I was worried about Winnie, but I was still running from my past. I didn't want to face it. I wasn't ready.

I took a short break from writing, very sorry. I've just been going through some things and I couldn't be bothered to write. Plus that last chapter was a bit depressing, but any who I think all my person problems are gone for now. Let's hope. I should be back to normal updating!
