You took a deep breath, the sent of coffee filling your lungs.
You sighed in satisfaction, slumping into your seat.
This was your favorite cafe in the entirety of this city. It had the perfect ambiance and the perfect coffee.
They also had the most delicious pastries you've ever tasted!!
You hummed as you swung your legs, waiting for the waiter to come take your order.
Usually a cat-lady, Ebony, came to take your order. You were pretty sure that she had gotten accustomed to your usual order. You came here a lot during your free time.
But today, you wanted to end the month off with a pastry!! No particular reason, you just felt like doing something special for once.
Also, you kind of wanted to celebrate your hard work. You've been working yourself to death, trying to get a new apartment, and you finally did!! After months of hard work, you definitely needed a treat.
You sighed again, already happy with your decision. You put your head down in boredom as you wait for the usual waitress.
The footsteps of someone headed towards your table echoed through your ears.
"May I take your order?"
You lifted your head up from the table.
You eyes were met with red spirals.
You gaped at them for a little bit before shaking your head.
"Ummm...this wasn't in the script she gave me....Is that a no?" He mumbled.
"No! I mean yes! No!" You fumbled with your words.
He tilted his head in confusion.
"I....um, yes! I want to order something!" You exclaimed, sitting upright.
He gave you a grin. You shivered.
Damn. He looked like he wanted to kill you.
"Great! What do you want to order today?" He held up his pink notepad.
Actually, never mind. That's kinda cute.
"Could I please have a (insert coffee) and a (flavor) (cupcake, cake, bread). Also, two of your cookie specials, please!!" You chirped.
He scribbled on his notepad for a while before grinning at you again.
"Thank you for ordering, have a-" He paused, seeming to have forgotten what he was about to say.
"...Hops Jelly day?" He tapped his pen on his bottom lip, pondering for a little bit.
"Thank you...?" You gave a nervous smile.
"Yeah!" He walked away, giving a small cheer as he went to the back of the kitchen, probably to give your order to the chef.
Your eyes followed him as he left.
