The rush of rain was harsher than you both had expected.

In nearly seconds, your clothes had been drenched and Silver's quills were slicked down so much that he nearly fell over as you ran into a nearby cave.

"Dammit! I'm so sorry!" He blurted, stumbling into the cave.

He mentally cursed himself for bringing you outside at such a terrible time. He had only wanted a peaceful date with you, but it seemed the world was out for him for the millionth time.

He sputtered as he shook his head, trying to get the water out of his quills. His hands fumbled with the flowers he had hand picked for you, now drenched in water. He dropped them in frustration, trying to fix his quills with his hands.

You took off your soaked jacket, cringing at the wave of cold air that hit you, tossing aside.

"It's okay, Silver." You managed while wringing water out of your hair. "We can go out tomorrow?"

He sighed, furrowing his brows as he stared at the wall beside him. "Yeah, but—" He groaned in frustration again. "I wanted to take you somewhere nice today! I wanted to make our first date great, but..."

He just trailed off in shame.

You clasped his hand after a few seconds. "It's okay." You reaffirmed. "We can always try again. None of this is your fault."

He sighed and squeezed your hand back. "...you mean it? Will you wait for me?"

"Absolutely." You tried to smile in confirmation. "No need to rush. Plus, we do have the rest of today to go somewhere else, right?"

"I suppose." He met your gaze before looking away. "Um. Where would you want to go?"

You shrugged. "Where do you want to go?"

"I don't know." He replied without much thought. You both were close friends since...forever. He didn't feel uncomfortable with you at all, he knew you understood his way of speaking.

Or the fact that he was indecisive and sucked at socializing. "Erm...would a cafe be okay?" He managed after a few seconds. "I know a good one downtown."

"As long as you're comfortable, I'm good." You held up a thumbs up. He smiled at your words, before tugging you closer, his eyes scanning your clothing.

"Aren't you cold?"

"Aren't you cold?" You refuted, but smiled sheepishly. You were cold.

He blinked. He hadn't really processed his own body temperature until you mentioned it. "Uh, yeah, now that you mention it..." He looked around to see if he could potentially do something about it but came up with nothing.

You walked over to your wet jacket, placing your hands on your hips as you also pondered.

He slammed a fist into his open palm. "Aha! I'll use my power to drain the water away...?" He didn't sound so sure as he ended his sentence.
