⚜️ After you met them, both of them took a liking to you. And that did not end so well when they found out both of them were interested.
⚜️ Metal did not want you to be with someone who he should consider an enemy, and Mecha did not want you allying with a creation that his previous owner who literally abandoned him made.
⚜️ So they had a dispute. They were going to fight until it was settled.
⚜️ That is until you told Tails and Eggman, knowing full well neither would back down until they were destroyed.
⚜️ So the fight never happened.
⚜️ You finally agreed that it was best for them to share and be fair, but that doesn't mean they were fair with anything else.
⚜️ Metal is more cunning and Mecha is more grounded. So they don't contrast well, especially when Metal hates it when he's being ignored because it makes him feel like someone isn't respecting him, and that's Mecha's whole thing.
⚜️ Mecha on the other hand, hates that Metal is always taking you away to do things without him, as Metal is always standing near you for some reason, and it annoys Mecha that Metal will not let him get near without them having to fight over it.
⚜️ Mecha likes to be calm and rational, and Metal just jumps to the gun and is more instinct prone.
⚜️ You're literally the only reason why they're still functioning.
⚜️ At some point, they make a treaty that if their work ever gets in the way of your safety, that they will partner up to stop it.
⚜️ Metal is jealous that Mecha was like older than him, and Mecha is jealous that Metal is newer. They think that because one is older or newer, you're going to like them better.
⚜️ Will both assist you with chores.
⚜️ Mecha has better defense and Metal is better at offense (but Mecha can be better at offense when he needs to).
⚜️ You probably have to be the one to break their staring contests.
⚜️ They'll warm up to each other after a month, don't worry.
⚜️ Now they're both working on making you feel comfortable at all times.
⚜️ On movie nights, Mecha usually chooses, but snack wise, Metal's the one taking care of that.
⚜️ Pillow fights? Wdym? The pillow is feathers by now.
⚜️ They'll both work to surprise you on your birthday. It's like the most heartfelt thing.
