Recap:

"Tally?" I heard from beside me. "What's going on? Who is she?"

I took a deep breath and looked up at the ceiling.

"Oh, that was just Brianna." I rubbed my temples again when I felt another headache coming on. "The girl who single-handedly ruined my life."

I made it to my locker after the last period of the day with a sigh. Brianna and Rebecca had ditched after fifth period. I only knew that because I saw them leave. I should have been relieved that they were gone, but the anxiety level that Brianna had left me in was the only thing I could think about.

I sighed and rested my forehead on my closed locker door.

"You need to relax." Cole said beside me.

I turned and glared at him. "You need to stop saying that. If I could just 'relax' I would."

"Just stop thinking about it." He told me. "You know what you need?"

I raised an eyebrow. "What?"

"You need a vacation." He said and I rolled my eyes.

"Oh, you're right, let me just pack away everything and leave." I said sarcastically.

"No, a mini vacation. There's been a lot going on lately and you need to get away from it all. "

I smiled a little bit. "What did you have in mind?"

He put on a thoughtful face for a moment. "How about you and me go over to the next town over and go exploring."

"Exploring?" I was kind of skeptical.

"Well, I heard they have this little place that people go to for.....laser tag." He grinned.

I bit my lip and thought about it. A day out with one of my best friends did sound fun. But I felt like I needed a stable plan before I could go off doing careless things. I needed to figure out my next move or the anxiety would eat me alive.

"I don't know," I trailed off with a sigh.

"Ah, come on Nat. You need some time to just forget about everything." He persisted.

I pursed my lips and thought about it while I opened my locker.

My thoughts were interrupted when my locker door swung open and what seemed like hundreds of little packets spilled out. I gasped and stepped back.

My eyes were wide as I stared at them still spilling out, littering the floor.

Little individually wrapped condoms were pouring out of my locker. I blinked in shock and looked up. There were condoms still falling from the open locker, stuffed into my notebooks, taped to the locker door.

My attention snapped to a white slip of paper that what taped to my locker. I leaned forward to read it.

You might need some protection with your new boyfriend. Wouldn't want him getting bored of you!

I stared at the note without moving. My eyes hardened and my body started shaking in anger.

I bit my lip to keep from screaming.

"Okay." I forced out a breath. "That mini vacation is sounding really good right about now."

I was sitting in the passenger seat of Cole's car as he drove. We had been driving for about 20 minutes and we were about half way to our destination. It was only 3 o'clock and we were going to spend all day away from the rest of the world. That's what Cole said anyway.
