Hey guys so with Death Battle Season 9 reaching it's mid-season finale I think it's about time I do another Death Battle top 10. However this one is about the matchups I don't want to see, this list is going to be talking about several issues like terrible connections, stupid dynamic, better MUs and many more and why I think that they shouldn't appear in Death Battle. So without further a do let's get to the list.
5. Meta Knight VS Zero (Kirby VS Mega Man)

Starting off with the most obvious is Meta Knight VS Zero. To this day I still cannot understand why this fight even exists in the first place, or why people overripe this or why people try to make it seem like their perfect for each other and have great dynamic and connections when in reality it's the furthest thing from the truth. Meta Knight VS Zero is easily. EASILY. One of the worst matchups I've ever seen in my life like they literally zero connections and even when there is connections 99% of them as been debunked and literally applies to every other characters and. The connections people say are their both fast swinging swordsmen who first appeared in 1993, who started off as enemies before becoming good join organizations, fight evil including evil counterparts, mentor the protagonist, and being op in a fighting game. These connections are what people use to try and justify Meta Knight VS Zero being a good MU but this is easily debunked as first of all I can name several other characters who are fast sword swingers, Ichigo, Link, Cloud, literally every Star Wars, and Kingdom Hearts characters, and many more. Second of all both are not mentors to the protagonist you can argue that in the anime Meta Knight was a mentor to Kirby but that's non-canon to the games, as Meta Knight was a rival to Kirby and Zero is more of X's partner in crime than a mentor. Next I can name other characters who are op in a fighting game, as well as those who join organizations fight evil counterparts, started evil turn good, etc, also so what if both appeared in 1993? Why does that matter? Demon Slayer and Dororo had their anime adaptations in 2019 yet it's not important to what Tanjiro and Hyakkimaru have in common. The only connections Meta Knight and Zero have is that both have their signature letters on their shoulders but other than that they pretty much have nothing in common. I cannot understand why people make it seem like they do when really they don't. Not to mention they have no dynamic. Also both Meta Knight and Zero have much better opponents. An example is for Meta Knight is Riku from Kingdom Hearts.
