Jisung POV

When I made it back to my house, I knew hell was waiting to greet me. I could feel the tension thicken when I made it into my home. I smelled the breakfast coming from the kitchen and knew where everyone was.

I walked to the dining room through the kitchen and grabbed a fruit. I smiled at Jeongin who was already stuffing his face with the last pancake. But that was the least surprising thing.

I noticed that Jeongin says nor does something his smart ass would usually do. That's when my eye guided around the table and saw a familiar face. It was someone that I didn't have the energy to give attention to, especially with the small headache I had.

"You know the Lee family right Jisung?" My mom said.

"Unfortunately."

"We invited them over so you could apologize." My dad explained not looking at me.

Like hell, I would. The last time I checked I didn't even hit him, Jeongin did. But I'm not going to throw him under the bus like that. Instead, I walked over to the table and sat next to him.

"You owe me 20 bucks for covering your ass," I whispered watching a small smile form on his face.

I looked Felix in the eyes without any expression, "I'm sorry for beating your ass."

"Jisung!" My mom exclaimed while setting her fork down.

I got up and was about to leave before that little brat had something else to say.

"That's so kind of you Jisung. And I'd like to apologize for putting my wealthy hands on that indigent you call a friend." Felix said stopping me dead in my tracks.

I couldn't help but be filled with rage. And the audacity of his parents to laugh along with mine. I turned around slowly and shook my head with approval.

"What's your problem?" I asked walking over to the table and putting my hands on it, "Do you find joy in constantly belittling people?"

"Not at all, but your little boyfriend needs to remember where he falls in this world. And all he's doing is using you for your money." He started, "I mean, someone like him walking around with a gold watch wrapped around his wrist. Pretty suspicious if you ask me."

"Why do always have to kiss someone's ass? If you're going to be two-faced, at least make one of them tolerable."

"Jisung that's enough." My dad interjected.

To avoid never being able to leave the house, I let it go. I turned around and left my room. I felt my blood boiling the moment I saw his face, and him saying those things about Lee Know made it worse.

When I finally made it to my room, I shut it and collapsed on my bed. I shut my eyes, hoping I could calm myself down before feeling a dip in my bed.

"Go away," I said with my eyes closed.

"Jisung?" Jeongin said shutting the door and locking it, "Dad's going to call the police on Lee Know."

"WHAT!?"

Lee Know POV

"Hurry up in the bathroom, I just cleaned it you prick!" Hyunjin yelled from the other side of the door.

I hurried and washed my hands and went out. I saw Seungmin sitting on the couch cuddled up with Hyunjin. They were a good couple and I wished they would last long.

"Make sure you don't leave anything because I'm not gonna let you back in," Hyunjin said looking at his phone.

"Are you naturally like this in the morning."

"Sorry, I just don't have the energy to hear my dad bitching about the house."

With that, I did forget something. I went up the stairs and grabbed it, and when I came back down I saw Seungmin grabbing a rag. He rinsed it with water and laid it on Hyunjins head. I couldn't help but smile, but then I checked the time on my watch and knew it was time to go.

I went to the door after saying bye to the love birds. When I stepped outside, the fresh air saved my liver from failing. I started walking in the direction of my house, more like a small skip. It was unlike me to be this happy about someone.

I had this dumb smile plastered on my face and this feeling of happiness filling my head. That didn't fade when I stepped on my property either. I forgot about my problems with my mom and completely ignored them.

Finally, a feeling that wasn't ruined.

Once I did make it to my house, I noticed that I did leave my keys on the bed I woke up in. I cursed to myself and knocked on the door for a while. I was there for about an hour before my mom pulled into the driveway.

I sighed.

"Hey, baby, your home early on a Saturday." She said smiling at me.

"I left my keys at a friend's house."

"Oh, what friend?"

"Hwang Hyunjin. You probably won't know him." I said walking into the house behind her.

I shut the door and went straight to my room. I remembered the money we needed for rent and decided not to let my mom fall into a rabbit hole by herself. I grabbed a small back from behind my dresser and took it to the kitchen. I threw it on the counter in front of her.

"This she helps with rent and the bills for the next two months."

She stared at me cluelessly before opening the bag. When she saw what was inside she looked back at me and gasped.

"Lee Know, wh-where did you get this much money from?"

"Um- my job," I said hesitantly.

"You have a job?" She asked, "How long did you have this job to save this much?"

"I got one when we moved here." I replied, "We're poor so we need as much money as we can."

She ran over a hugged me with tears filling her eyes. I was shocked when she held me tightly. Wrapping my arms around her small body, I patted her head knowing that I made her day. The hug felt nice because we haven't been this close in a while.

"Love you Lee Know. You know that right?"

"I know mom." I said, allowing a tear to escape my eye.
