Chapter 16

I woke up around 3 in the afternoon and went to go find Jesse and Marcus.

It took a while, but eventually I found them. They were in their room, just talking to each other.

I knocked on the door, waiting for someone to answer. After a few seconds of waiting, Marcus showed his face as he opened the door.

"Liv, are you feeling any better?" He asked as he threw his arms around me into a tight hug.

"Yeah, I'm much better, I have sobered up now, and I'm less worried about the plane, and being cancelled." I responded.

"Well that's good, come in." He said, as he ushered me into their room.

"Hi liv, you alright?" Jesse asked as he noticed I walked in.

"Yeah, are you?"

"Oh, I'm good, just happy to be here, even if it is only for a few days." He responded with a smile. "How is mason?"

"He's good, I think. He's in portugal right now, they play tonight don't they." I questioned.

"Liv, you know they play today, you are with him." Marcus said, wanting to get an answer out of me.

"We aren't together, we are just exclusive."

"Well, you've had enough sex with each other to be married."

"We are just friends." I replied.

"Whatever you say, but I know and you know, your together."

"We are not." I responded with a stern voice.

"Liv, you go on about him to us all the time, you wouldn't talk to us about him if you weren't serious about him, you like him."

"Enough Marcus. I like him, but I can't trust him. He got angry at me for thinking I was with jack, the only thing helping me right now is that the sex is mind blowing. Out of the fucking world good." I pleaded with him, hoping he realised how annoyed I was getting with him.

"Okay let's unpack these emotions together." Marcus responded, sounding a lot like a therapist.

"Just leave her lad, she clearly doesn't want to talk about it." Jesse responded. "But liv, we will be here for when you want to actually talk."

"Thank you Jesse, but I am never going to be ready, so nows the best time." I responded with a smile on my face.

"So you like him, why?" Marcus asked me with a smug grin, he kept looking over at Jesse, and it made me smile.

"Have you seen him?" I questioned. "He's fit, he's sweet, and the sex is really good."

"So what's the downsides?"

"I can't trust him."

"But liv, you can't trust anyone." Jesse intersected.

"I know, but I just, I don't know... I want to be able to trust him."

"Maybe these issues go deeper than just Mason, the second you become even slightly strange about a person, you just switch off, you want nothing to do with them." Marcus analysed.

"I know I do, I just, I want to forgive my dad, and I will, but I don't know how."

"So maybe you just need to think about yourself, how about we go out for a parmo, and it will make you feel better." Jesse said, with his hand on my shoulder.

"Good idea, I will go get dressed, and see you soon." I said, as I sprinted out of their room, and into mine to get ready.
