Cain sees Marcel reading at his backyard, with the soaked laundry.

"Marcel!" The captain calls.

Marcel sees him.

"Can I help you?" asks Marcel.

Cain opens the gate.

"Actually, I just noticed that your mother has left. Delivering groceries I presume?"

"Yes. That is the case."

"So that means... You have nothing else to do today."

They both stare at Marcel's laundry.

"Well... Apart from washing your clothes, but you know it's already lunch time. Maybe you could care to join me?"

Marcel remembers his mother's advice.

"I mean, I haven't cooked anything."

"Perfect!" Says Cain excitedly.

Cain brings Marcel to his personal dining room located in his office.

Theodore has prepared two meals for the both of them.

They both sit down at the table prepared for them.

Theodore lights up the candle.

"You know Marcel, I'm more than just a man of power."

"Isn't your term ending in a few months?"

"Well... yeah but... I was thinking..."

Cain holds Marcel's hand.

"With someone as unique as you, I see you having potential in settling with a man that is as established as I am."

Marcel gets confused.

He lets go of Cain's hand.

"What do you mean?"

"Marcel, I like you."

"Wait... What?"

"I like you, Marcel."

Cain gets a ring box.

"I would give you everything that you want: books, jewelry, clothes. Just name it. I would treat you as my queen."

Marcel is even more confused now.

"I know you have said before that you want to discover yourself first but c'mon, it's not like you'll spend the rest of your life just reading books, right?"

Marcel is getting lost in translation.

"I would do everything in my power and influence just so I can be your husband.  "

Cain opens the ring box, unveiling a ring with a big ruby.

"Marcel, will you-"

"Hold on a second." Marcel interrupts him.

"Cain. I have to admit. That's a very lovely ring. Must've cost a fortune I believe?"

"You deserve nothing but the greatest, my dear Marcel."

"Right...."

Marcel stands up.

"Look, Cain. I appreciate the fact that you gave my mom a chance to run her own business. I really do. But... I'm just not ready for such commitment-"

"I'm willing to wait for you." Cain interrupts him back.

"Yeah... Um, I don't know if you should keep on waiting. Because I cannot promise anything to you. Excuse me, I still need to finish my laundry. This was a lovely lunch by the way."

And with that, Marcel leaves Cain's office.

Theodore reenters the room.

"So how did it go?"

He looks at Marcel's untouched food.

"Not even a single bite?"

"Does it matter Theodore?" Cain responds.

"So I guess it didn't turn out well." says Theodore.

"Not for now. But as I said, I'm willing to wait. He can still change his mind, and I still have a few more weeks to go. The deal is not over yet."

On the other hand, Marcel has finally left the Barangay Hall.

He starts talking to himself.

"Ugghhh... I can't imagine myself being with him for the rest of my life. The thought of it is just... Ewww!"

Marcel then proceeds back to his house.
