𝗸𝗮𝘁𝘀𝘂𝗸𝗶 𝗯𝗮𝗸𝘂𝗴𝗼𝘂'𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄;
turns out, peppermint wasn't as aggravating as i had first thought. he's still annoying, but a little less than before.

we talked, argued, bickered, watched people trip and fall on their faces, and ended up exchanging numbers after a lot of convincing from the half n' half bastard. i hadn't properly socialised or had a real friend in years. friend. ... could i really call him that? a friend?

"-i personally that taking cold showers are underrated." halfie opinionated from beside me, swinging his feet as he watched the sun slowly dip from the sky. "what the fuck? who does that?!"

"i do."

i pulled out my phone, intending on checking the time. but i then, noticed my notifications centre.

13 missed calls and 29 unread messages from my mother.

shit. it had completely slipped my mind. i had told myself i'd only stick around for half an hour, but three hours had passed. shit. shit. shit. shit-

"what's wrong bakugou? you look pale." i felt my heart rate increase, abruptly standing up as i slung my backpack over my shoulder. "i uh- i need to go! sorry- i mean- i'm not fucking sorry or whatever! i- yeah i'll see you later. thanks for th- the fucking bubble tea, i guess." i stuttered out complete nonsense, feeling tears begin to brim in my waterline.

"bakugou.. are you okay? i can walk you ho-" "no! fuck off peppermint!" i yelled, my voice growing hoarse as my bottom lip quivered. i pulled my hood far over my eyes as i ran, leaving a concerned and confused half-red half-white teen sitting alone at my favourite bench.

"you.. forgot your skateboard."

i'm sorry todoroki. don't take it personally.

;

"well, look who finally decided to show up!"

i hung my head low as i walked through the door, throwing my keys on the dining table as i shuffled through the hallway. the shadow of my mother's drunken frame loomed over me, sending a shiver down my spine.

i entered the kitchen, noticing bottles upon bottles of cheap liquor piled up on the counters, empty cigarette packets and rolled up joints scattered high and low. i hunched over and ripped open the fridge, hiding my face in my hoodie as i pulled out three bottles of refrigerated beer.

"don't ignore me, brat!" i felt a sharp sensation to my head, making me yelp as a bottle came crashing down on me.

"you- you fucking humiliated me! who the fuck do you think you are, not showing up at the time you were meant to! that's disgraceful to the name of our goddamn family name! h- how do you think i felt, having to explain to your father that the child i'm responsible for couldn't follow simple orders, huh?!"

i felt a harsh kick to my side, followed by a swipe to my legs, inducing me immobile as i stumbled, knocking my head against the counter. she screamed and yelled out whatever words came to mind at that moment, sending continuous, despotic hits to my limp body.
