Tᴀᴋᴇɴ

All seemed normal as Ashe and Venti walked the field. They knew M/n was most likely relaxing in Windrise however, neither of them was prepared to see an abyss Harald holding M/n and heading into a portal not before turning to look at them. They strike out in a sprint to stop the kidnapping but it was too late for Venti as Ashe made it through in time. Venti quickly returns to Mondstadt, fear, and panic in his eyes when he immediately runs into Kaeya and Diluc.

On the other side As he drops to the ground with a thud and he jumps up to search the area but found he was somewhere dark.
"Ah descendant of Mavis, nice of you to join us."

"Who-"Ashe nearly hurt his neck with how fast he turned to look at the voice that called out to him. It was Aether and just behind him was the Abyss Harald holding M/n, there wasn't a sense of danger so As he kept calm as possible.
"Why did you take my friend."

"M/n must see what's happening to the people of Khaenri'ah and so should you. He'll wake in an hour or two but for now, watch over our true prince." Aether then orders the Harald to lie M/n down on the bed nearby before opening a portal and vanishing with the Harald. Ashes waits a few seconds before running right over to M/n.
"M/n wake up!! I don't like this situation so I need to you wake up! For fucks sake time to wake up!" Ashe yells while shaking M/n's unconscious body.
"Archons M/n wake up!!"Ashe pulls back his hand and slaps the male's cheek. M/n gasps, jolting awake, and scuttles back for a moment. His eyes clear up but so does his hearing and what he could hear all around was horrific.

The pained moans of the damned around him.
M/n slaps his hand over his ears to make it stop but to no avail.
"M/n?"

"Ugh!! What's happening to me?! It's so loud and coming from everywhere!!"M/n was overwhelmed by the new place and the sounds of those in pain yet...Ashe heard little of what M/n did. Ashe tried his best to comfort his friend through all the pain but noticed worked.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, your majesty. I've brought food for you and your friend."

"You asshole! I-I said no to-"

"We're not in Khaenri'ah, we're in the chasm. Here eat this and I'll show you what happened to your people that come here on their last days.."Aether brother over a home-cooked meal for the two and waits for them to finish, M/n sighs heavily and digs in and Ashe follows suit.
"I'll admit, your cooking is good but it would taste better if you didn't kidnap me."

"Oi oi! What is that sound?"

"I've been meaning to ask the same...Sounds like a mass of people in pain at once."Aether was baffled that Ashe could hear it because he knew M/n could.
"So it would seem you have the blood of a Khaenrian, Ashe. The sound you hear is the cries of your people as they draw near their end...They come here. A Mitachurl came to the chasm a while back-"

"Where is it!"M/n shot up from the bed, his eyes full of worry when remembering that a Mitachurl saved him from a Fatui agent, he never got to thank it since it walked away from him and Dainsleif. Aether guides M/n and Ashe through the gloomy ruins until they reach an upside-down structure. They entered and at the end was an upside-down fountain.
"What is all of this?"

"The solution I have to fix everything, The Mitachurl is over there, those who come closer to the fountain aren't in as much pain but the others were in so much that they couldn't make the extra journey here."M/n felt his lip quiver at this, he knew all too well about the story but this wasn't something he knew, it was clear now, that the Hilicurls and Mitachurls were Khaenrian citizens. He slowly approaches the dying Mitachurl.
"I...I can begin to thank you for saving me that day...I wish there was something I could do to help you but...I don't know what to do.."Now choking back tears M/n couldn't find any other words to say but a gentle tap on the top of his head.

This gentle act broke the damn holding back his tears.
"I'm sorry..."

"No need to be sorry young one...Your aura has brought me more peace in my last moments..."
The Mitachurl slowly vanished from sight leaving M/n to sob where he sat...
