I slowly drive home and seem to hit every red light in this town. 'Ugh, it's been a stressful day. I definitely need a drink when I get home. I can't believe all that happened today.' Indy thought to himself as he drove. 'She's lucky the only thing she got is a vandalized car. I can't believe she would call Harley those slurs and try to blame her for something she didn't even do.' Indy ranted, still pissed off at what happened. I pull into the driveway and park my car before going inside and setting my things down. What a crazy day it has been. I pull out my math book and set it on the table with my notebook and pencils. Indy came in, placing his hat on the rack and his keys on the hook before coming over to me. He wrapped me in a giant bear hug holding me close, and I wrapped my arms around him. "I'm sorry." He breathed.

"For what?" I questioned as I pulled back and looked at him, confused at why he felt terrible.

"For what happened today and what she called you." He tells me sweetly as he runs the back of his fingers on my cheek before putting his hand on the side of my face as I nuzzle into it. I smile before looking into his eyes, feeling so loved at this moment. "I'm not upset about it anymore; we got the best revenge. I bet she's still there trying to figure out what's wrong with her car." I chuckle, seeing him smirk. "I mean, yeah, it really pissed me off and hurt me at the moment, but I'm over it now. I'm glad I had you there to defend me and handle the situation because we both know I would have handled it very poorly." I smile as I stare into his hazel eyes, seeing him chuckle.

"Still, I hate that you have to hide who you are because of this kind of treatment you get."

"Well, I can be myself with you, and that's all I need. Plus, I made some more friends out of it. Don't most friendships start with vandalism?" I joked with him; seeing his chuckle made me feel better. "Seriously, I'm not upset about it. She's gone, and I never have to worry about her again, and her car can't start."

"I don't know how I feel about you hanging around those boys." He tells me, tilting his head back and forth as if he was thinking. "I mean, your friendship did start with vandalism; what's next, arson?"

"Ooh, don't threaten me with a good time." I joke with him, causing him to chuckle.

"Seriously, sweetheart, you know who they associate with, and your father got you out of that life. Don't go back in it."

"I'm not going to go back in Indy, but it will help to have friends on the inside who can speak on our behalf. Plus, rule three is you can't hurt women or children. I'll be safe, they know my father, and they respect me."

"If you say so."

"You're worrying too much; that's my job." I smile against his lips before placing a kiss. He kissed me back before pulling away and kissing my forehead. "I love you." He smirked at me as he put his large hands on my waist and stared into my eyes. "I love you too, my soul." I smile up at him before I hug him. He kissed the top of my head as I felt him relax and let out a soft sigh. He pulled back and walked into the bedroom to probably change and get more comfortable before Danielle arrived.

I heard a knock on my front door and went over to it to see Danielle with a platter of sandwiches while her husband held two bottles of pop and had her backpack on his shoulders. "Here, we can set everything out on the wooden coffee table." I kept the door open for them as they went over to set the food down. Eugene placed a kiss on her cheek before walking to the door. "You not staying?" I question him.

"No, I promised Mike I would study with him." He tells me before turning to his wife. "I'll pick you up at nine." He tells her.

"Okay, I miss you already." She smiled at him, and I couldn't help but roll my eyes.
