I woke up to a lonely bed. I sat up and stood up. I stretched and I heard a voice behind me,

"Big stretch!"

"I'm not a cat Xinyan."

"Oh, come on, lighten up a little will ya?" Xinyan walked over.

She started to pat my hair down. She grabbed the brush on the table. She began to brush the knots out of my hair. I sat there and yawned. Xinyan looked like she had been up for hours, planning some evil scheme. She smiled at me when she noticed I was glaring at her.

"What's your problem? Miss your boyfriend?"

"We're not boyfriends."

"Yeah yeah, you guys say I love you a lot. And it's not like you look at each other like lost puppies."

"XINYAN."

"What? You can't say I'm wrong."

"You're the worst."

She pulled on the knot in my hair, making me wince, "You better watch your words pardner. Your hair is in my hands." She said in a thick southern accent.

"Why are you acting more southern than you already are."

"Because I can Chongyun. Leave me to my own devices."

"You are so weird; you know that right?"

"Yes, I know, I learned it from the best."

"Shut up."

"Pfft, make me."

Everything went quiet. She continued to brush my hair as I sat, staring at the wall. Xiangling burst through the door with Xingqiu in tow. She didn't speak at all; she just walked over to Xinyan and tugged her away. Xinyan threw the brush at me and ran out the door after Xiangling. Xingqiu stood there in silence.

"What the fuck just happened-"

"I have no clue; they're being weird today." Xingqiu sat on the bed.

"Hmm."

"Hey Chongyun, can I ask you something?"

"Oh, of course! What's up?"

"Do you want to go on a picnic... with me?"

"Hmm. Nah"

"Oh okay..."

"I'm just joking! Of course, I'll go!"

"Oh, I thought you were serious-"

"Nah, if I didn't want to go, I would've explained why."

"Oh. Well, I was planning to go near sunset."

"That sounds amazing."

"Xiangling already said she'd start preparing food."

"So, Xiangling is in on this?"

"No! I told her about the sunset picnic and invited them, but Xiangling said it should be you and me and she said she'd prepare everything. She didn't even give me a chance to say anything about it."

"Sounds like Xiangling."

"Yeah, uhm... What do you want to do in the meantime?"

"Anything love~"

"Uhm... Hehe- uhm-"

"Pfft, look at your face! You look like a tomato." I poked his cheek.

"Ugh shut up."

"You're adorable~"

"Stop it." He looked frustrated.

"Fine, you're no fun."
