seokmin let out a sigh as he parked next to the curb near the quaint yet fancy-looking house. he tapped his fingers on his steering wheel before pulling out his phone and dialing a certain number.
the phone rang twice before it picked up.
"hello?"
"hey, joshua," seokmin ran a hand through his hair, "i'm outside your house."
"oh, okay. can you meet me at the front door? no need to ring the doorbell or knock or anything. i'll be out in a sec."
"yeah, sure, no problem."
seokmin hung up before turning off his car, stepping out into the day before walking over to the house's large wooden door.
today, he was picking up joshua to take him over to wencorp to start the experiments.
seokmin let out another sigh as he stood next to the door, shoving his hands in pockets as he began to tap his foot anxiously. in all honestly, seokmin was very nervous about all of this.
why you may ask?
well, to joshua, seokmin was a friend, and nothing but a friend. on the other hand, when he gets to wencorp, he could no longer be or act like his friend. as professor wen's intern, he would be expected to help conduct this experiment, and since joshua was going to literally be a part of the one that he's helping out with, joshua would definitely know that something is amiss if he figures out that he's actually working there.
joshua didn't know that seokmin was actually the primary factor for him being a part of this experiment, and didn't realize that their friendship was built on lies.
this was literally a lose-lose situation, where he could either lose a friend or maybe lose his whole internship.
seokmin's thoughts were suddenly interrupted when the door swung open, revealing the blind boy he has been anticipating. he stood there, one hand in his pocket and the other holding his cane. "seokmin?"
"i'm here," seokmin shifted his weight, stepping towards the boy.
"i know," joshua laughed musically, "i see your silhouette against the sunlight."
seokmin naturally stepped next to joshua as he shut the door, looping his arm around joshua's as the two began to walk towards his car. seokmin has gotten used to helping him around, and ever since he volunteered to show joshua around the school he has basically been his primary source of help when walking around (only when necessary, of course. joshua is pretty good at being able to get around by himself with his cane).
