I Have a Chat with Zoe

Percy's POV:

          I woke up in the Infirmary just put down for a little rest so they could keep an eye on me. Looking around I was surprised to see Zoe here with Grover, "Ah thee are awake, are you feeling better?" she asked me. 

          "Yeah it was just an exertion of my powers causing exhaustion," I told her. 

          She squinted at me for a moment, "That was no mere exertion of powers Perseus, that is one of the most powerful feats I have ever seen from any child of Poseidon." she told me. 

          "Yeah I imagine you've had a lot of experience with that," I commented. 

          "Precisely like you half sister Atlanta!" she said. 

          "I am well aware of her Zoe, why are you actually here?" I asked her. 

          "Several of the Hunter wanted to know when you were up so we could do that Archery contest." she said. 

          "Sounds fair I suppose, Grover mind helping me pop my back?" I said standing up Grover came over to me and lifted me up barely and succeeding in cracking my back. "Thanks bud." 

          "No problem," He said sitting on my former bed clearly slightly worn out. 

          "I'll meet you down at the Archery Range Lee will want another chance to reclaim his title," I told Zoe and she walked off after grabbing my things I walked out of the Big House and down to Apollo's Cabin. 

          "Ah Percy good to see you back on your feet," Will Solace said. 

          "It was mild exhaustion, anyway where's Lee?" I asked him. 

          "Archery Range the moment he heard you were back he wanted to get a little practice in before challenging you again." He said pointing in the direction of the Archery range. 

          "Well hope Zoe talked down the Hunters already," I said running off to the archery range. Once I got there I saw some mild arguing between ironically enough Atlanta and Lee. "Oi calm down Zoe said he could join the Contest." 

          "He speaks the truth, Lee keeps trying to reclaim his former title of camps top archer." Zoe said coming up behind me. 

          "How did I get here before you?" I asked her. 

          "Bianca wanted me to show her around a little bit," she said and Bianca walked up behind her. "Also I figured we would need an impartial judge so I went to get Chiron." 

          "Smart move," I said. With that me Zoe, Lee, and a couple of the other hunters took position at our targets. 

          "This contest will be decided by who can fire the most bullseyes in the time frame," Chiron announced, I summoned my bow so did the Hunters. "On your marks! Aim, and Fire." In the space of five minutes we all released volley after volley of arrows. "Time!" Chiron announced and once our bows were down walked over to the targets counting how many bullseyes he saw on each target. "Zoe is currently in the lead with 15, Lee just behind her with 14, and Percy..." Everyone else's targets had a series of shots in the bullseye zone I on the other hand aimed for the true center subsequently splitting many arrows. "I see at least 25 arrow heads, so Percy wins. How many did you fire Percy?" 

          "Around 36 I think naturally some of the arrowheads would be destroyed though so yeah." I said. 

          "Well done male," Zoe said coming up to me. 

          "You can call me Percy miss Nightshade," I said. 

          "Regardless I would like to speak with thee alone," she said. 

          "Well we can talk in my cabin if you like only those I allow in can enter after all," I said.

          "That works with me," she said and made way to the cabins.

          "Well I guess that she meant right away," I said to the others and followed her lead. Once I caught up with her outside my cabin. 

          "I couldn't open the door what is this?" She asked me. 

          "Well as I said earlier only those I allow can enter I hadn't gotten the chance to allow you in yet so you can't get in simple as that," I explained to her.

          "Well lets get in already," she replied and I opened the door letting her in to the cabin. 

          "So what did you want to talk about?" I asked her after closing the door. 

          "Your the Night Owl aren't you?" she asked me.

          "Oh did Phoebe tell on me?" I replied confirming it to her. 

          "No, Night Owl is an insane archer some say his skills rivaled the twin archers themselves. You too are an insane archer." She said explaining her deduction.

          "Oh I wouldn't say I am that good," I said. 

          "So who where you originally, that milady would love?" she asked me a dagger pointed threateningly to me. 

          "I believe you already know that, the only man she ever loved." I told her. 

          "You were Orion," I said. 

          "I know pretty Ironic my mom gave me that for a middle name." I said walking over to the saltwater spring and looking into it. "Frankly I'm surprised she hasn't figured it out though her memories could be fuzzy I suppose." 

          "And what do you intend to do with her?" she asked walking up to me and likewise looking into the water. 

          "The same thing I promised to do all those years ago," I told her calmly. 

          "She can't be with you in that way," Zoe said placing her hand on my shoulder comfortingly. 

          "Who said I ever wanted that I just wanted to be with her that's all I ever wanted and it was taken from me" I said calmly. The Conch Horn blew signaling dinner was ready, "While we should get going." 

          "Yeah," she said taking one final look at the water then we walked to the door and off to dinner. We made it to the dinning pavilion after everyone else and when we got there obviously we were stared at since it was weird that we arrived at the same time. "We just talked you imbeciles!" with that we walked to our tables and sat down to eat. Chiron spoke up and informed us we would all play capture the flag tomorrow.
