[Sophia]

I left Apollo to handle Teri while the Twins followed me back to the house to get some food for themselves. My face didn't show it, but I was a little concerned about Teri. It felt weird to not see her in a cheerful state, but as I thought about it, I couldn't remember the last time I ever saw her as bubbly as she used to be.
We hopped over the fence, through the backyard and into the kitchen. I told the Twins that they could look through the cabinets and fridge to find whatever they liked. I didn't know exactly what human food Teri would want right now, so I just let them decide. I saw them pull things out, looking at it for a moment before either putting it back or setting it aside to bring with them back to the tree house. They asked me about some other things they remembered us having and I told them I could go out later and get what they wanted from the store. I made a mental note about what they wanted.
"Oh, don't forget, when you finish eating those chips, remember to put that clip back on the bag." I told them.
"Why?"
"Oh, because we don't want to attract any bugs. We can't have them get into any of the food we bring with us to the tree house, otherwise it'll ruin everything. It's a pain to clean up, so just make sure you don't leave any food out."
"Ohh, okay."
"Yeah. That little desk in the tree house has a drawer and one time I thought it'd be cool to make that into a snack drawer so we wouldn't have to keep going back and forth from the house. And then Apollo found out it was slowly being ravaged by ants and he was not happy about that. So we stopped doing that. Cleaning that drawer was also a bit of a pain. I don't put anything in it anymore." I explained. I leaned on the counter as they continued to pull out a variety of foods and I suddenly remembered something.
"Oh, hold on, wait, I almost forgot something." I said as I quickly rushed upstairs, the Twins stopping to watch me go, wondering what I was doing. I entered my room and stepped over to my desk in the corner, moving a pile of clothes off of the chair and tossing them onto my bed. A small composition book was sitting on the chair and I picked it up. I brought it downstairs and set it on the counter where the Twins curiously waited for me.
"I was actually thinking of adding some more stuff to the tree house and I made some concept sketches for them." I said as I opened up to a random page and the Twins moved over so they could see for themselves. I flipped to a more recent page with a not-very-well-drawn interior of the tree house. A perspective sketch with the desk, the cut out window on the other wall and another rectangle shape in the corner. A few other rectangular shapes were scattered about the other page with other little doodles and notes off to the side.
"I was thinking about adding a mini-fridge over here so we can keep some drinks and stuff. You know those solar panels on the roof I made?"
"Yeah?"
"I only ever use that for the booklamp and to charge my phone when I need to, but I don't really use the booklamp that much for anything so it's kinda just a lot of energy going nowhere. So I thought a mini fridge would be kinda cool. And it'll be easier for you so you don't have to keep going back and forth to get stuff for yourselves."
"Are you sure it'll have enough energy to keep it on?"
"Oh yeah, those things make a ton of energy and a mini fridge is basically nothing, but I think it's perfect. We already have some water bottles and stuff we can move out here. Hang on, I think we know where they are."
I already knew we had some sitting in one of the lower cabinets in the kitchen, but Apollo has some extra ones in his room. I don't really like having to get the plastic water bottles because I have my own, and so does Apollo, but I think he forgets he has one. Or he misplaced it somewhere and hasn't bothered to look for it.
I walked upstairs and opened the door to his room. I spotted some sitting on his desk, but I didn't take all of them. I scanned the rest of the room to see if there were any stray ones left, but I noticed some other items strewn about instead.
"Oh, so that's where all the snack bowls were. I was looking for those for a while, I thought he said he was gonna bring those downstairs later."
I move over to Apollo's bedside table and pick up a small bowl full of leftover chip crumbs. I continued to look around and found more empty bowls and drinking glasses, all in various levels of emptiness. I sighed as I tried to pick up as many as I could and brought them all downstairs into the kitchen. I had a feeling there were more empty water bottles under his bed somewhere, but I decided to leave those be for now.
For someone who cleans the dishes better than I can, he can't seem to actually find the time to clean the ones out of his own room.
