32-One last time

3rd person POV

It's been months, yet the last finger's whereabouts were still unknown. Meanwhile (y/n ) and Sukuna were training regularly, which kind of helped her keep her powers under control on a daily basis.

Though in the heat of a fight she tends to lose control a bit... A lot.

Time was going by fast and the lantern festival of the year was coming up, which everyone was excited for. (Y/n) and Sukuna saw it as an opportunity to have some fun before the execution, so both were hoping that the last finger wouldn't be found until then.

Though The King of Curses didn't really admit it out loud. He rather said that he can't wait to have his full power and murder everyone.

The mood soon changed when they got information about the last finger, it being consumed by a cursed spirit, making it a stron special-grade, to which specifically Yuuji and (Y/n) were sent.

Throughout the ride there neither said anything, since they both knew it would mean their execution.

When they got to the abandoned place the curse was supposedly at, Sukuna asked to swith to which Yuuji hesitantly agreed (because of (y/n)'s convincing).

Sukuna didn't hesitate to find a good place with a nice view and sit down and watch the unfolding fight. And also more-less keeping an eye on his girlfriend who might lose control over herself.

Which she did.

The fight ended within minutes, then the currently white-eyed girl turned towards Sukuna and lunged at him which he effortlessly dodged.

As they were both in a fighting stance looked at eachother, (y/n) started nearing him, raising her hand.

Sukuna, as he usually does, watched the scene unfold and waited for her to attack or perhaps take a hold of herself and stop.

As unexpected as it was, the latter happened. (Y/n) was nearing with her left arm raised then her right hand grabber her left, which left her body shaking due to her body trying to literally fight itself.

Her markings slowly disappeared, as she breathed out heavily. By then our pure Yuuji was back, right there to support his sister.

"(Y/n), are you ok?" Itadori asked, worried.

"Yes. Yuuji, I can finally control my new powers!" She exclaimed.

"That's great to hear! Oh, by the way, did Sukuna do anything sketchy?" The boy asked, still not trusting the curse even after years of being stuck together.

"You just can't trust him, can you? It was ok though, he literally didn't do anything but sit and watch." (Y/n) said with less enthusiasm. She would've appriciated him helping a little at least.

"It's not my fault. He's an asshole." He pouted to which (y/n) burst out loughing.

"You two would make an awesome set of twins seriously."

"No we wouldn't! The two said in unison.

"You've just proven my point." She pointed out.

As they were being driven back to the school they got a phone call from none other than Gojou.

"I managed to delay the so-called execution a little, so you still can go to the lantern festival. You all deserve to have fun before the big day." He said with a happy, satisfied tone.

When Yuuji first consumed Sukuna, the execution was expected to be in the next months, especially after the Shibuya incident, as they call it.

But fate cannot be outsmarted. They just got more time to spend with their loved ones.
