Wherever she was
Wherever she was headed to
Whatever she lost as she lived
Whatever dream she was dreaming
Whenever she was hiding
Under the covers shedding tears
He promised to take all the times
That was hard
And give her comfort.

He hoped she can smile again
He hoped her lonely, empty place
Will start to fill up once again

Because just like in the dark night,
the lonely starlight
Has found another star,
Similarly, they got connected by chance.
And so they promised to start over
From the very beginning.

Ayana was about to slip because of her three-inch heel when Imraan grabbed her hand stopping her from falling.
"When you can't manage to wear heels, why did you wear them in the first place?"

"Or did you wish to be held in my arms?"
Before Ayana could reply, Imraan continued.

"I can't blame you though. I get that I can be irresistible but for that, you didn't need to… Ahh!"
He couldn't complete it as Ayana stomped on his feet with her sharp heels.

"It was your mother who told me to wear this heel as it goes with my outfit. And mister, don't fly so high. I would prefer falling on the ground than being in your weak arms."
Brushing her clothes, Ayana said with a tight smile.

"What? Weak arms?"
Imraan snickered before showing his muscles.
"You call this weak?"

"I have seen better."
Rolling her eyes, Ayana said, making Imraan narrow his eyes at him.

"You-"
Before Imraan could make a sarcastic remark, Mrs. Quraish scolded them. Again.

"Are you two arguing here too?"
Mrs. Quraish glared at them.
"Didn't I say not to make a scene here like evening?"

The couple gulped in fear. Angry Mrs. Quraish was hella scary.

Today was the engagement ceremony of Mrs. Quraish's friend's daughter where the whole family was invited.

"Now what are you two looking at? Let's go inside before the ring exchange begins."
Saying Mrs. Quraish entered the hall room followed by her son and daughter-in-law.

"Ma Sha Allah! You are looking so pretty."
Ayana complimented the would-be bride.

"Thank you, bhabi."
Wearing a white lehenga, the bride hugged Ayana.

"It's not fair."
From her left side the would-be groom said.
"Why is it that it's always the girls who get complimented? It's my engagement day too and I even decked up pretty well but seems like none notices me."

"I know right? It's like the girls are always overshadowing us."
Imraan said siding with the groom making the ladies laugh.

"Both of you are looking pretty. Now happy?"
With a smile, Ayana said, making the groom nod with a grin.

"Thank you for coming Imraan Bhai. I thought you won't make it."
The bride spoke looking at Imraan who shook his head before saying.
"It's your engagement ceremony. Of course, I'll come."

Since childhood, they were pretty close.

After conversing the couple went to Mrs. Quraish.

"This is my daughter-in-law, Ayana."
Mrs. Quraish introduced Ayana to her friends who greeted the ladies with salam.
