Darkness is turning red,
Getting deeper into my empty life,
It feels like destiny is
Pressing me down cold.
I'm breaking down, falling apart.
Shining the darkness
I'm breaking down,
living in the consciousness
Inside my memory.

What was controlling me
Weren't the fears that live in me
Instead, it was my nightmares
That was trapping me in this place.

And from this place, what heals me,
Wasn't strong medicine
It was him.
His soothing voice
That I heard in my ears
Woke the lost me up
As the nightmares started to disappear.

"Zafar!"
Hearing her voice, he turned around to see her running after him with some papers in her hand.

"You forgot the thesis paper!"
She said handing him the paper that he had been working on for the last few months.

"Thanks! I thought I lost it!"
He sighed in relief as he took the papers from her. Looking at her, he asked gratefully.
"If you were not in my life then what would have happened to me?"

"Mmh..."
She pretended to think.
"Then in my place, there would have been some other girl and you'd have said this to her."

He chuckled before looking at her with his love-filled eyes.
"Impossible. Because none can take your place in my heart."

She blushed as she put a strip of her hair behind the back of her ear.
"Well, what can I say, I'm irreplaceable I guess."
Smugly she said before both of them burst into laughter.

Once they stopped laughing he continued to look at her as if he was expecting her to say something.

"What? Why are you looking at me like that?"

"You didn't say anything."

"About?"
He gave her an obvious look.
"Oh! Well about someone taking your place in my heart, um..."

Mischievously she said with a little laugh.
"Well, I can't predict the future so who knows someone might take your place."

Seeing him all serious, she quickly added.
"Joking! Relax! Of course, you are the only one here."
Indicating her heart she said with a heart-fluttering smile.

He looked down for a second before looking up at her, he forwarded his hand towards her.

"What?"

"Your hand."

Confusedly, she put her hand on his.
"You are right. We can't predict the future so we can't really say that I'll always be in your heart."

She was about to protest but he continued not giving her a chance to say something.

"But, Ayana-"
Gently squeezing her hand, he said in a promising tone.
"I can promise you one thing for sure, no matter what happens or who happens to be with you in your future, I can guarantee that no one will be able to love you as I do. No one!"
