Her crumpled-up life
That she resented and hated,
Made her afraid to open her eyes.

She had late regrets and had dreams
As she continued to endure hard days until,
Until the day came.

The day the soft wind blew low,
She finally faced her past,
The past that was starting to fade away,
The past that was forgotten in her memories.

And exactly on that day,
She looked at the sun,
Praying her dark years would fully hide aside
Would hide as if it didn't exist.

But instead of her past, the past sadness Came up to her like a habit making her wonder,
If she gets justice in life,
Would she then find peace?
As she questioned herself,
She felt her throat go dry.

"The best part about hotels is their bed. So comfy and soft."
As soon as they came to the hotel, Ayana spoke in a sweet tone lying on the bed.

"I know right."
Imraan agreed as he copied her before falling on the bed. Both of them were heavily tired after their long 14.7-hour flight.
"Did you inform maa that we reached safely?"

"Hmm."
Without opening his eyes, Imraan asked lazily.
"Shall we skip dinner tonight?"

"But I'm hungry."
With a pout Ayana replied.
"We can rest for an hour or two before having dinner."

"Okay."
Sleepily Imraan replied before turning around to take a quick nap.

Three hours later

"When will the dessert come?"
Ayana whined.

"Didn't you just say that you are full?"
Imraan gave her a look. They just finished their dinner.

"One should always have some space for desserts."
Ayana spoke haughtily, making Imraan shake his head.

Just then suddenly they heard claps from the surrounding. Looking in that direction they noticed a man kneeling down and proposing to the girl. The girl with happy tears in her eyes accepted the ring.

"Gosh! So classic."

"Awe, so sweet."
Imraan and Ayana said at the same time before looking at each other.

"You like this kind of cringy stuff?"
Imraan asked her, looking surprised.

"Those aren't cringy."
Ayana shrugged before looking at the couple with a smile.
"It's cute and sweet."

"You know when I was in my early twenties, I used to wish to be proposed like that in front of the sea."
Reminiscing earlier days, she said.

"Woah! What a fantasy you have!"
Imraan said dryly before looking at her with wide eyes.
"Wait a second. Are you..."

Ayana looked at Imraan questionably.

"... You aren't hinting at me to do this kind of stuff, right?"
Imraan completed as he remembered a scene from a movie where the girl hints at the guy to propose to her in that manner.

"What? That's ridiculous. Why will I..."
Ayana frowned before repeating herself.
"I used to have this fantasy in my early twenties. Not anymore."
