My world was a broken one. A reality where pain and strife ruled my own mind and my heart turned to stone. Where every fiber of my became something inky black and full of hate.
I had used to loathe it. Loathe the monster that I was forced to become by those around me. Hate the things that I did. Curse the world around me for making me that way. I had used to retreat into that same inky black pit that was my heart, searching for a small hope that maybe I wasn't the creature I knew myself to be.
Seeking the person I had used to be in that void. Calling out her name like a prayer as I listened for an answer.
So much time I had spent in that darkness...after a while I found that the darkness had become my own.
