On October 1st, coming home on a Thursday afternoon, Ryan found a FedEx package on his doorstep.
Being a good child, he carried the package in and kept it in the living room.
It made him recall how life was in the future. Amazon always delivered whatever you wanted. It could be a laptop or even a grocery item.
Recalling Amazon, Ryan started wondering how the company was doing in 2009.
He had no clue, so Ryan quickly searched to find that although the company had already been listed, its stock price was very low.
It was a mere 4.625 dollars compared to the eventual trillion-dollar company it would become, with each share costing thousands of dollars. (historical accurate to the day)
Ryan - "Man, I really want to invest in Amazon, but the issue is how do I convince my dad to let me."
Ryan thought for quite a while, trying to come up with the best possible explanation.
Ryan - "I got it."
"My dad knows I want to be a financial analyst, so I will just say I have done my research and to let me learn from this investment."
Ryan's mom soon arrived and called Ryan, so he headed downstairs.
Amanda - "Ryan, did you bring this in?"
Ryan - "Yes, mom, I found it outside."
Amanda - "Hmm, I probably forgot there was a delivery today. I had gone shopping at the mall for clothes, you see."
Ryan - "Yeah, I can see so many bags."
Amanda - "it's ten, to be precise."
Ryan - "Alright, if it's nothing else, I should get going. I am starting a new script today."
Amanda - "Wait a minute before you go. I wanted to ask you about Alex."
Ryan quickly replied, "What about her?"
Amanda - "For starters, you have hanging an awful lot at their house, so what's the status?"
Ryan - "Status?"
Amanda - "You know, do you officially have her as your girlfriend yet."
Ryan - "Mom."
Amanda - "I am just saying it's been three weeks, and I think you should give a proper name to your relationship, that's all."
Ryan quickly headed back upstairs, completely embarrassed by the situation.
Ryan - "Now, where was I before I was disturbed? Ah yes, Amazon."
"The only issue in my plan is that I don't really have any research to show if he does ask for my research."
"Wait a second, no way, right. Wouldn't that make it so there is an unlimited money bug in the System?"
"Let's test it out."
"System give me proper analytical research as to why Amazon is the ideal share. Also, show me which share would have the biggest gain today."
[Deducting 400 points.]
[System generating Amazon Report with various research and forecast for the future.]
[System check complete. It was found that the exact date of each biggest share gainer is not found in the database. Hence the request is denied.]
[Refunding 200 points.]
Ryan -"Damn, I knew it. How could it be so easy to make money."
"Anyhow, I guess I can buy research so I can always justify a reason as to why or why not to buy a particular stock through proper data."
Ryan soon calmed his mind and started typing the Mission Impossible Script as planned.
Someone did a 360 no scope on Time in Ryan's universe as it soon passed and came to 6 o'clock.
Ryan's father finally got home. One might ask what time does he usually arrive home?
You see, to those people, I would say I feel like Deadpool is narrating this novel at times.
Ah, what? Sorry for that tangent. Ryan's father does not have a fixed time to leave work.
It depends entirely on how the workload that day is.
Ryan, hearing footsteps downstairs, headed down from his room.
Ryan - "Welcome home, Dad."
Nathan - "Hey, what's up? You don't come searching for me unless you have some work."
Ryan - "I... I"
Ryan was left Speechless as he did kind of just use his dad and never spent normal time just talking to him.
Nathan - "I didn't mean to embarrass you. I was just joking about it. Didn't we have a good talk just a couple weeks ago?"
Ryan, in his mind, "Well, that was your actual son, not me, the fraud."
Nathan - "It's alright. I get that a lot is going on in your life. My point is you are multi-tasking to the limit."
"Take frequent breaks and relax. Spend quality time with your family is all."
"Anyways, tell me, what help did you need?"
Ryan - "Let's sit down there, actually a few things."
Nathan - "Alright."
Ryan - "So first, I started writing a new script called Mission Impossible."
Nathan - "Mission Impossible, huh? What genre is this movie?"
Ryan - "A spy action movie."
Nathan - "An action that a change, but I presume that's not the main reason you wanna talk about it."
Ryan - "Nope, the budget I am aiming for is 80 million to 100 million USD."
Nathan shouted and got up from his seat in shock. "A 100 million USD."
Ryan - "Yes."
Nathan - "That's never gone get picked up."
Ryan - "Please sit down. We still have more to talk about."
Nathan - "Fine, but don't expect too much from me. For a big movie like this, my connections ain't gonna cut it."
Ryan - "I know. I need your help delivering this script to a certain star."
Nathan - "Alright, who?"
Ryan - "Tom Cruise, and I am sure he will Carry this script entirely on his back."
Nathan - "Why do you say so?"
Ryan - "Cause if my script is successful, it will develop into a franchise."
Nathan - "Look, there is no way you can be sure of that. There are many more factors that go into it."
" You might have sold two scripts, and a book but none have been through a proper market test."
"You may think it easy and get cocky, but don't be mistaken. Such a big production is never easy to produce."
Ryan in his head, "Well, I can't say my confidence stems from knowing this role was pretty much a dream role for Tom Cruize."
Ryan - "I know, but what's the point if I don't try? Please just help me get him or his agent to look at the script once. That's all I am asking for."
Nathan - "Fine, I can still do that but don't get your hopes too high. They will probably not even read the whole thing."
Ryan - "I know, but I can't give up without pitching."
Nathan - "Alright, I get it. We will give it a shot. Okay, what was the next thing you wanted to talk about?"
Ryan - "For that, we have to go upstairs. I have to show you my research on this Amazon company."
Nathan then followed Ryan and saw Ryan's research and was quite surprised to find it well done.
Ryan - "I want to invest all my current money into Amazon shares."
Nathan - "We can't do that. You need to learn about proper risk management. How about you invest half your money into it and leave the rest in the bank."
Ryan - "Not half a bit more let's round it up to one hundred thousand shares."
Nathan - "Fine, but remember, the stock market is unpredictable. Take this, as you said, a learning experience."
Ryan - "Don't worry, dad, I am not some day trader. I will be holding these shares for the long term."
Nathan - "Alright, I will set up the Demat account in my name and buy this Amazon company's shares."
Ryan hugged his father and spoke, "Thank you. You are the best father."
Nathan - "Always have been."
Meanwhile, on Kami's Tower -
Deadpool - "The reason I think the writer didn't do the everyday stock thing is cause it could be too much of a Hassel, plus how will he justify it."
Gohan - "Yeah, it could become an infinite money glitch to some extent and disturb the story outline."
Dende - "That's right, Gohan, that is possible."
Gohan - "There is also the fact I searched hard and found no such precise data online. So..."
Gohan gets brutally interrupted by Piccolo
Piccolo - "NERDDDD."
Yamcha - "Come on, piccolo, not this again."
Piccolo - "Why are you even hear listening to the story? You should go train instead. You know that even Deadpool here could whoop your ass, right?"
Meanwhile, in a dark room, a young man spoke,
"Damn, the audience will slew me for this one."
"What will I do if someone says I am just increasing the chapter word count by writing nonsense."
