After a few minutes of randomly sitting and watching the news, Ahil just opened his phone and started going through it as his father in law was watching the news. He had been sitting there for a few minutes now.

He lifted his eyes to see him staring at the photo frame. It was Hoor's. He had seen it previously. Ahil left his phone and sat silently for a few moments.

"Kya soch rahe hain?" Ahil asked.

(What are you thinking?)

"Kch nai, bs ye khabrain kabhi kabhi bht udas krdeti hain....Phir Hoor ki shadi bhi hone wali hai....mjhy ghabrahat hoti hai." Dilawar sighed and placed the frame in the drawer of the side table.

(Nothing, just this news makes me very sad sometimes....then Hoor is also getting married...I feel anxious.)

"Kesi Khabrain?"

(What kind of news?)

"Abhi tumne bhi suni, ye domestic violence aur lrkio p jo b susral ki taraf se zulam hota ha, mjhy tum logo p bharosa hai likin...."

(You just heard them too, about the domestic violence and the mistreatment girls face from the in-laws. I trust you guys but....)

Ahil turned his eyes to the tv, then back at him. He stayed quiet for a few seconds before taking a deep breath.

"Main ye ni kehta meri uski kbi larai ni hogi kiuke apni beti ko to ap b jantay hain kitni laraka ha...han is baat ka waada krta hu k jis trah ki khabrain aap sun k preshan horhy hain asa kch ni hoga Insha Allah. Uske bht himayati hain udhr, aapse zada mjhy fikr honi chahye waise." Ahil said at the end to lighten up the mood and Dilawar laughed.

(I am not saying that I will never fight with her because you know your daughter too how much of a quarrelsome person she is...but yes I promise that the kind of news that makes you upset will never happen Insha Allah. She has a lot of supporters there,  I should be the one worried more than you.)

"Ni ab itni b ni ha." Ahil just nodded with a small smile. Of course, she won't show her dad those skills.

(No, she's not that much now.)

He changed the news to something else so there was no news that would be disturbing.

"Na dekha kren aesi khabrain, stress lena apki sehat k lye theek nai hai."

(Don't watch such news, it is not good for your health to take stress.)

"Tumne to wohi harkat kee k kabootar billi ko dekh k ankhen band krle, isse billi to nai chali jayegi." Dilawar laughed a little.

(You did the same as a pigeon closing his eyes after seeing a cat, this won't make the cat go away.)

"Apke samne koi billi nai hai, aap khud ko Kabotaar ki jagah sochna chor den. Mjhy hospital call krni hai, main lounge jaraha hun. Ap rest krlen." Ahil said.

(There is no cat in front of you, stop putting yourself in place of a pigeon. I have to call the hospital, I am going to the lounge. You should rest.)

After a few moments, he stood up and left back to the lounge. It was empty. She was not there. He called the hospital and then turned the tv on after the call ended.
