"Why would you help her? Why do you care so much for her?" Thor asks and i continue to check on Y/n. Connecting her to the machines.

"She may be a villain in your story Stark, but in mine she's a hero" is all he says before green smoak surrounds Tony, Wanda and Thor... taking them with them to another place.

"Where did you send them?" Clint asks, pointing his gun to Loki's face. Even though it's a weapon that won't do much, maybe only slow him down. But that's a big 'maybe'.

"Top floor, now you" he begins, looking at Natasha who's holding y/n's tense arm. "You have three minuets before they come back to decide her fate? Either you let them kill her when she's human or you let her come with me"

"She's staying with me, and she will not be harmed" she answers quickly and looks back up to me, i just nod. I'm not going to hurt her. But judging by Loki's gaze, he was not talking about any of us.

"You said she was a hero in your story, why?" Bucky asks, putting down Clint's gun.

"She saved my life before she even knew who i was and for that i owe her my life. If helping her run away is a part of doing so, i will" he answers and the answer surprises everyone, me included.

"You care for her, more than..." but he doesn't let me finish my sentence.

"Times up, love her like she loves you" he says to Natasha and then disappears in the same green smoak as before, just as the others burst through the door.

"Where is he" Tony asks in anger, in full gear. I ignore him and go back to treating Y/n who seems to begin to wake up. Her tense body starting to relax a bit.

Y/n pov

The bright light makes me jerk up out of the bed and take a breath... wait what? I need to breathe, for real. It takes a few seconds for my eyes to adjust to the white light. The light reminds me of the hospital morgue that i awakened in. Was it all a dream? Nothing is like that, i feel the cold air around, from the AC. But that's all i remember... i feel there's a sort of wall that's blocking everything. All i remember is Hydra, that machine that... killed me?

"Well, she's awake" a male voice says on the foot of my bed, his tone is one i don't particularly like. The man is wearing some kind of armour, and things come back to me. Things before hydra, what i believe is everything.

"Shut it Tony" a female voice says beside me, with a voice that's so hard to forget. But somehow i have. Her hand resting on my arms. Where am i? Was it really a dream that i woke up in that morgue, dead. But the technology around me is more complex than the one i've ever seen. Even made by Howard, who has remarkable resemblance to the man wearing armour.

"James? Steve?" i question as i see the only two people i truly recognise. But how can that be? They all look at me like i'm crazy. "What's happening?"

"Everyone leave" my brother says seriously but no one seems to move. "NOW" he adds and everyone leaves the room. Except for Steve and the stunning woman beside me, who stays.

"What's the last thing you remember Y/n?" Steve asks and i don't even have to think about it to know.

"Pain" is all i can answer and the woman looks like she's almost about to cry. I don't want her to cry.

"Do you know how that is?" James asks and points to the woman beside me. Her emerald green eyes were the first thing i woke up to and noticed, then her flaming auburn hair falling down her head.

"No, i'm sorry, i don't" i answer but somehow i know i do. I know her, i just can't place her anywhere in my mind.

"I think we need to call on Loki" the woman says and the name sparks a memory. But i can't place it. If i heard her name, maybe i could place her face in one of those memories where faces are blank.

"No, definitely not" both Steve and James say at the same time, both with authority in their voices.

"You called me" another male voice says behind the two super soldiers. He's dressed in a black suit, kinda long black hair and crystal blue eyes. The eyes spark a memory, but i still can't see it just yet. The woman places her hand protective on my shoulder. "What the hell did you do?" he asks when he notices my confused gaze.

"Ugh, Tony's going to kill us" Steve signs and moves out of the way for the man to walk up on the other side of my bed.

"I didn't know she would lose her memory, i just wanted her to be human for awhile"

"Human? What do you mean by wanting me to be human for awhile?" i ask, almost panicking as i sit up and shake her hand off me. I feel how i lean more towards him than her.

"Just do what you gotta do, then leave" Steve  says to the man, Loki.

"It doesn't work like that, but she will regain her memory in time. You just need to remind her. And i suggest you begin with the good stuff so that she doesn't go on a killing spree the first thing she does. Like this" he says, placing his hand on my cheek, i don't shrug away at the touch as it feels familiar. "Isn't that right Wictoria" a memory passes before my eyes.

"That went well" Loki says sarcastically from the couch.

"He's coming back to kill me"

"Loki?" i say as i start to remember, him being hurt in my apartment. My neighbour John and that man from Hydra knocking on my door.

"See, just give it time and she'll remember more" he says, backing away into a corner again. I lift up my hand to reach for him but miss. "But be careful, she will also start to change again" he finished before going up in green smoke. Leaving behind a bag.
