Y/n pov
Now all i've got to do is convince the rest to actually let Loki teach me my magic. Because there is a more powerful power that i posses that i didn't tell the others about... the one coming from the soulstone. The power that allows me to rip someone's soul out and not just kill them, but oblivirate them. Turn them into nothing, into dust on the ground. I've never used it because of how much it would take out of me, but with that i'm planning to do, i just might. Natasha's out of surgery and is unconscious in the medbay, how could i have missed it? It explains everything i felt myself, how tired i was, how i just felt done with everything. It didn't just affect her, but me as well.
"Can everyone please gather in the kitchen" i hear Steve over the speakers, i don't want to leave her. "You too Y/n" there's too much going on right now, but with a kiss on Natasha's cheek i make my way up into the kitchen, where everyone else is already seated. It's no secret i don't want to be there, everyone can see it.
"Me and Buck are going on a mission, and i thought that as a gift for Natasha you would become a part of this team" Steve says and it goes dead quiet. No one is certain if he's being serious, but it seems so. And that's when the rest starts protesting.
"Are you crazy Rogers?" i ask, making everyone else go quiet again. It's not something i'm used to, the silence being alive.
"Come one, for Nat we could at least be friends" Bucky says and i get up. "Come one, all of you have something in common with Y/n"
"Like what?" Tony asks and we just all stare at Steve and Bucky.
"Y/n is a science geek, she's very good at hand to hand combat. She also has magic powers that could come in handy and she won multiple archery contests as a teenager" both me and Tony sign. But i can say that i'm not as hady with a bow and arrow as i once was, it was a long time ago that i was a teenager. "So we'll start with a buddy system, up first... Tony, spend and entire day with Y/n"
"Doing what exactly?" he asks, to my surprise not trying to get away from it. I would.
"I don't know, figure it out" Steve says, smiling."Tomorrow you will spend the day with Wanda" and then he disappears out the door. I lean my back against the table as i clear my head. This is really bad idea... or not, this could be my way in to get what i want.
"For Natasha" i mutter to myself as i turn back to Tony.
"Meet me in my lab in 30 minuets" he just says before also walking away.
"This shall be great" i can hear Bucky give off a small laugh as i also walk out. Back down to the medbay.
"Hey beautiful" i say, brushing some of her hair out of her face. She gives a weak smile back at me, not opening her eyes just yet.
"What happened?" She asks with a weak quiet voice, and leans into my hand as she opens her eyes.
"He hit you with a power dampener, when you saved me" i start with tears in my eyes. "I'm sorry, it's all my fault"
"How is it your fault"
"Because i didn't save you when i could have" she wipes away my tears, her hand staying on my cheek, lifting my head up. I can see the fear in her eyes, the same fear she had when we talked about me leaving, the same fear she had in her voice when she asked if i would be there when she woke up. And she already knew my answer was going to be no. "Hey... i'm not leaving just because it's my fault, i made you a promise, remember"
"I know, but you didn't want to leave last time either but you still did"
"But i won't, and you wanna know why?" i put both my hands on her cheeks. "Because i love you Natalia" i say, leaning down and kissing her soft lips. "And you need me, so i kinda have to stay. " i say and we both laugh. "I'm sorry, Natasha" i correct myself.
"It's okay, cause i love you too" she says before pulling me in for another kiss.
"Vampy... thirty minutes are done, come down to the workshop " we hear Tony's voice over the speakers and i'm forced to pull away from the kiss. She gives me a questioning look.
"It's a present for you later" i kiss her again. "See you later, i think Wanda will come and keep you company soon" i kiss her forehead before heading out the door and make my way down to Tony's lab.
"Overheating... test failure" the AI voice says the second i enter the lab.
"Have you tried air instead of water in the cooling systems?" i ask, making Tony notice my annoying presence in his lab.
"And why can't i have a water system according to you, Vampy" he asks and gods how i hate his nickname, it's seriously ... bullying?
"Because your problem is technical, not mechanical, remember. Water and tech don't usually go well together" he walks over to a holoscreen and starts making adjustments, but not the one's i just mentioned. "And would you please stop calling me that"
"What's what you are, isn't it?"
"Still, i don't want you calling me that"
"Alright, how about Barbie Barnes? Girly, Barney Doll?" oh that last one just reminds me what my brother calls every pretty lady he meets.
"You know what, Vampy is fine" he has a victory smile that makes me roll my eyes.
