6 months later

The noise was deafening, I thought he was going to die in there. It had been going on for 20 minutes already and I wanted it to end already. He must be in so much pain.

"Mingi, do you think they're going to do a good job?"

"They're professionals, of course they will."

Chaeyoung leant forward on her chair to make eyecontact with me who was the other side of Mingi.

"What if they damage a tooth while removing the braces."

Mingi shot a glance at her and shook his head.
"That almost never happens, it's very rare. Don't worry her even more."

"Guys the noise just stopped." We all looked at each other and then at the plain white door that was ahead of us.

"Is it over?" I asked and they shrugged as we intently stared in front.

I began to hear muffled voices through the door and I felt my heart racing to see my boyfriend's beautiful face but finally without the cute braces.

"Thank you so much." I heard him say and the door swung open and my eyes lit up as he gave us a big smile and I ran up to him taking him in my arms.

"Jeongin they're gone, you have straight perfect white teeth."

"They didn't break a tooth!" Chaeyoung added and Mingi took hold of her hand.
"Come on Chaeyoung, let's leave them to have their own space for a moment." They walked down the corridor and I saw them enter the room where I knew you could get free coffee from.

"Can I try something?" I asked and he cutely nodded looking down at me.

I pressed my lips softly onto his and when my tongue entered through it was all smooth, I could never do that before, it was far too painful.

"This is the best day ever." I laughed and he took my hand in his again.

"It is and then isn't." He replied, "it's the end of the college semester, and I'll be leaving but you have one more year."

"I completely forgot that you were in the year above me, and Mingi, you'll both be leaving me."

"How about i'll pick you up whenever I'm free after college. I might have a job soon. That will be interesting."

"I'd love that Jeongin."

——————————

Felix was working now as a singer and I really admired him, he had worked so hard for that and I hoped he got the fame he deserved. Since the day my mother left, I never saw her again, I missed her but not what she did to our family. Maybe that was a future challenge I'd have to face but for now I was happy where I was.

"You're so handsome." I muttered. My eyes couldn't help but admire Jeongin as he moved the sponge over his car cleaning it from any dirt. I picked up another sponge from the bucket and I started to help him, getting the job done much quicker. He looked after his car well, and I loved when he would take me out in it and have the roof down.

By the time we'd finished we had managed to get each other completely soaked from messing about with the water and sponges. His cute laugh always made my mouth curl up and it warmed my heart to know he was finally happy after all his family hardships. Even though he'd lost so much he'd always have me even whether that was a good thing or a bad thing.

Felix was meeting us later at a restaurant to let us know how he was getting on. He said he'd bring Minho too. I'd became good friends with him now, it wasn't awkward anymore.

Now the car was clean, Jeongin and I could head over to the place Felix told us to meet. It was around a 15 minute drive so it gave me time to rest my eyes for a moment. Felix would be able to see Jeongin's perfect smile too now.

When we got there I saw a pretty girl sitting closely next to Felix and I gave Jeongin an all knowing look.
"Felix finally had found a girlfriend, I'm so happy for him."

We sat down opposite them and Minho walked towards us too and he sat down next to Felix.
"Guys! This is Talia. I met her at work."

"Nice to meet you!" I smiled at her.

"You too!! Felix told me all about you guys."

"Wait something isn't right." Felix was studying Jeongin's face until he lit up with recognition.
"You've had your braces off!"
Minho looked now and he laughed in surprise. "It suits you better without them in my opinion." Minho said.

"I think they looked cute but now he looks so handsome." I kissed him on the cheek and he blushed a little.

"Thanks."

Felix and Talia already had their drinks so when the waiter came over to us we asked for our drinks.

We spent the rest of the evening talking about funny memories and telling Talia things she had missed out on. She seemed to enjoy listening to the ones about Felix.

By the time it was time to go home thankfully Jeongin hadn't drunk any alcohol so we could drive back home. He took me to his house and the lights automatically turned on as we walked in.

"Thanks for making that a fun evening." He pulled me in for a hug and we stayed like that for a long while. My favourite person in the world, was here with me and that's all I could ever ask for. Even if my mom didn't want to be part of my life anymore, I didn't mind at all and that was because I had him. Just like he wouldn't dwell on his parents anymore because he had me to help him keep positive. And that was the way I was determined to make it stay forever. I loved Yang Jeongin.
