His body stood a little away from mine still and his open mouth suggested his current state of shock. However it didn't last long and he came back to his senses looking me more in the eyes. "You're crazy." He finally said after some time and I shrugged looking around hoping no one had just saw that.
"And your lips are too small." I now started to move towards the door leaving him to his own thoughts. "But you don't even know how to kiss properly" he called after me as I was walking away. At this point I didn't care what he thought of me, he started all of this.
I went home to get lunch before coming back to the college. I only had around 10 minutes left of the break so I went to sit in the music room early.
"Y/n? You're in here already?"
I turned to see Felix's cute smile and I looked around to see it was just us in here.
"Ahh hi Felix. Did Chaeyoung have lunch with you?"
He nodded and took a seat next to me and he was glancing at me for a little too long. "Why? Whats wrong?" I asked him and he quickly shook out of his thoughts. "Oh. Sorry nothing." His small hands moved into his pockets and he looked around. "Did you want to practice our song while there is no one in here?"
My throat was a little dry as I started to get nervous. "Yeah... sure. What song did you choose in the end?"
"What about this one? It's called "waiting" "
My eyes scanned the sheet of paper he gave me and I could see where he had split out parts up. "Yeah this looks good!"
He got out his phone and he played the original first letting me hear how the tune went. A male voice started to sing and after a couple of seconds I gasped a little. "Wait... this is all your voice? Did you make this song yourself?!"
I saw his hand scratch the back of his head as he shyly smiled. "Yeah, I got bored last night so I wanted to write an English song."
"You're voice... it's beautiful." His smile widened even more and he pointed at his phone. "So, you want to duet my song with me?"
I quickly nodded and picked up the lyric sheet. "Of course! How could I say no this song is so pretty."
More students started to walk into the room now and I sighed. "Okay let's practice tomorrow in lesson or at lunch." He suggested and I nodded in agreement.
The teacher stepped in too now and he stood at the front behind his desk. His shirt was hanging out just a little and I could see he rushed over here from somewhere.
"Hello everyone, take your seats quickly."
My head shot to the door and my heart just jolted a tiny bit when my eyes connected with Jeongin's. My mind was trying to do everything to block out how I kissed him earlier. What was I thinking.
At least he knew he couldn't just push me around now.
"So today everyone we will put aside practicing for your duets for today, and instead we will be learning about tonality and pitch."
I sighed. I knew this from high school. Another lesson to shut off in. I actually wanted to practice our songs, even though we had to do it in front of people, I loved singing.
The bell called out finally and I picked up my bags putting all my things away. "See you tomorrow then Y/n?" My head looked up to Felix as his hand had rested briefly on my shoulder. "Oh yeah, of course."
He headed out the door and I stood briefly waiting as I saw my brother Mingi look at me for a second.
"Mingi.. can we talk?" His annoyed expression looked at me and he sighed. "Fine.."
He walked out the door and I saw him waiting for me, leaning against the wall. I was about to head to him when suddenly the teacher's voice called out again.
"Jeongin.. I noticed the other day, you don't have a partner to do your song."
My ears couldn't help to be curious. "Ah yeah, I can just do it myself don't worry." I saw him as he tried to leave the room but the teacher stopped him again. "No, you're not allowed to do it yourself. You need to join up with a pair and work in a three instead."
"Great." He stated sarcastically. "I hope you can sort that for me then."
"Ah Y/n? You're here still too." My eyes widened as I turned around as I had been dragging out my tidying up of my stuff. "Jeongin, you can join Y/n and Felix. I'm sure they wouldn't mind. It's either that or I'm going to have to fail you for this area."
What? I suddenly had a nervous feeling in my stomach.
Jeongin's face had a sudden series of emotions and he was quick to reject this. "Anyone but them, please." He begged to the teacher and he looked at me sighing. "You are working with them and that is my final decision. In life you can't work on with the people you get along with all the time, maybe this will be a lesson to you."
Jeongin groaned loudly as he pushed onto the door really aggressively letting himself out. The teacher looked at me the last in the classroom and I scowled to myself. "Thanks for putting up with this Y/n."
Yeah like I had a choice I thought as I also now moved finally out the classroom.
Mingi was still waiting for me as I got outside and he moved a bit as he finally saw me coming. "Are you still mad at me?" I made my sad face and he sighed. "I'm not mad.. but just disappointed, why didn't you mention this before, like Jeongin has been my friend for a good year now yet neither of you mentioned anything."
Maybe because it never happened
"Sorry Mingi... I will tell you everything else from now on I promise."
He looked at me and he put his hand on my arm. I smiled just letting him think about it for a bit. "Thank you."
"Can we walk home together now?" He chuckled finally letting me see his smile. "Of course, let's get going before it gets dark."
