Amanda's POV

"This feels really weird, but okay. I guess everyone just expects me to be bad, in the evil kind of way. You see, my father wasn't a good man. He's changed now, but for many years he was really bad. Because of that everyone thinks that I'm like him. They almost want me to be like him. Even he expects me to be a little bit like he was. The thing is, that I'm not like that. I hate it when people give me surprised looks for just saying 'thank you'. I hate it that people gives me weird looks when they think I don't see it", Scorpius started to tell me. I then understood why he had looked so miserable.

"I can't say that I know the feeling. What I can say is that they are the ones at fault. Judging people that way are horrible. It's not okay that they make you feel that way", I told him with a serious but comforting look. He looked as if he was looking at an alien.

"So you don't think that I'm evil? Even if I tell you that my last name is Malfoy?", he asked me but I smiled at him. If he only knew how little that told me.

"I wouldn't even care if you told me your name was Darth Vader. The name doesn't decide who you are." Scorpius looked confused and frowned at me. I could only smile and on instinct I hugged him. When I let go he still looked at me as if he was trying to figure something out.

"What?", I asked, still smiling.

"Who's Darth Vader?", he asked and my mouth fell open. I couldn't help but look stunned at his words. What human didn't know who Darth Vader was?

Wait, he wasn't human. He was a wizard. I closed my mouth and tried to come up with some good lie.

"He's someone from America that was very evil. He's dead now, but he was horrible", I told Scorpius and hoped that he would believe my lie. He seemed to accept it without any question about it.

"You don't go to Hogwarts?", Scorpius asked. I shook my head, happy that we had moved on from my slip up.

"No, I go to Miss Robichaux's Academy in America", I told him and he seemed to be just as clueless when it came to American schools as James was. He insisted on me telling him everything.

"Well, there are six other girls in my grade. They are all kind of unique in their own way. My personal favourite except Rose is probably Misty. She's so cool and nice", I told him and just completely based my stories on American Horror Story. Scorpius didn't seem to think anything was weird though, which I was very grateful for.

Before we could finish our conversation the older Potter came strolling up to us. He smiled until he saw Scorpius next to me.

"I'm going to leave. It was really nice meeting you Amanda", Scorpius said and before I could stop him, he was gone. I got up to my feet and turned towards James, who didn't seem to think it was weird at all.

"That kid's bad news", James muttered for himself and I sighed loudly. That got James to look up at me with confused, grey eyes.

"Just because his father was a bad person, doesn't mean that he is. I hate when people judge anyone before actually getting to know them", I told James with a serious face. He looked down a little embarrassed. I only thought it served him right. Scorpius didn't seem like a bad guy, I didn't think James should of treated him badly.

"Sorry, it's just our parents. They've been enemies since they went to Hogwarts. I mean, they don't hate each other right now but they still don't like each other", James explained. I nodded but decided to not say anything. An awkward silence stretched out between us. I didn't feel like saying anything, while James didn't know what to say. We just stood there until Rose came running up to us.

"Amanda! I've met these really cool people. I've got to introduce them to you", Rose hurriedly explained and started to drag me away from James. I turned around to say good bye to him, but he walked after us. I only hoped that it wouldn't get awkward between us.

"That's Roxanne and that's Louis. Guys, this is Amanda", Rose introduced as we stopped infront of a girl with light brown skin and a boy with strawberry blonde hair.

The girl, Roxanne, smiled with a set of straight and white teeth towards me. He hair was braided in a beautiful side braid and her brown eyes were filled with joy.

"Call me Roxy, I prefer it", she told me and to my surprise she there her arms around me in a hug. Before I could hug her back she had let go of me.

"Just call me Louis, I don't have a cool nickname", the boy said and smiled calmly. He was neither too tall nor too short. Everyone was taller than me though, so I had to glance up to see his face. If I were to describe him in one word, it would have been breathtaking. He had a mixture of blue and green eyes. His features were symmetric and sharp. It wouldn't have surprised me if he had told me that he was a model. There was also a calmness around him, that made me more relaxed, and helped me look away from him. It would have been really weird of me to stare at his beautiful face.

"Neither do I. Rose once tried calling me Mandy. It didn't end well", I joked easily. Rose started to laugh hysterically as she remembered me accidentally throwing a muffin at our principal. I had aimed for Rose, because she hadn't stopped calling me Mandy even though I had told her to at least a dozen times, but the muffin had instead flown straight into the face of our middle school principal. Neither Rose nor I had been able to hold our laughter as she had started to scream at us, while having frosting all over her face. It had been hilarious.

The others around us started to laugh. Roxy gripped my arm and then Rose's. She dragged us over to a group of dancing teenagers. We joined the crowd and danced like we belonged. At one point, Roxy handed me a bottle of some liquid. Without thinking, I had taken a sip. The liquid had burned awfully, but I had still swallowed it as if the taste was usual to me.

Roxy looked free while dancing. She was wearing a crochet and a pair of shorts. At some pint she had found a sunhat and put it on her head. She was smiling all the while.

Rose also looked happy while she danced. I could of never guessed that she didn't belong with the others. She had too drunk from the bottle, and not a single sign of the burning taste had been showing on her face. Her short hair seemed to make her look free and cool.

At first I also felt happy and free, but after a while I didn't really feel as happy. That was why I had started taking a few more sips from the bottle, even though I didn't enjoy the taste. I wasn't drunk though. When neither Roxy or Rose noticed, I sneaked away from the crowd. I didn't get far. Just as I had walked away from the crowd, James joined me.

"Didn't feel like dancing?", he asked me as he started to walk by my side. He sounded a bit unsure of his words, for reasons unknown to me.

"Not really", I answered simply. I was kind of tired and I didn't have the energy to come up with something else to say.

"I'm really sorry for being an ass to Scorpius earlier. You were right, and I don't want you to be mad at me. I really want to be your friend", James apologized after only seconds of silence. I stopped in my tracks, surprised.

"I wasn't mad at you", I told him as he stood by my side. He looked at me and seemed to immediately relax. My words seemed to mean more to him than I had expected.

"Really? I'm sorry anyways", James said once again. I smiled up at him. Then I hugged him. Before he could react I let go.

"Good night, James", I told him before turning towards the forest, and the way I knew would lead me to the car. The car where all of our camping things were.

I had no idea where Gwen was, and Rose was still partying. I wasn't really scared of the dark and I had a flashlight on my phone. I could get to the car alone.

I stepped into the quiet forest and started to make my way through the trees. As I walked I could only hope that I didn't get lost. Even though I wasn't scared of the forest, I didn't feel like spending the night in it. Especially without a tent. I would probably freeze to death.

It wasn't until I reached the car that I realized that I didn't have the car keys.
