Amanda's POV

When I woke up on Christmas day I could smell the excitement in the air. It smelled like gingerbread and hot chocolate. I took in the smell and felt how the hunger woke up inside of me. Just a minute after I woke up my stomach could be heard grumbling.

"We should go down and eat breakfast", Roxanne decided from her bed. A day after I had arrived Roxanne and Molly families had came to the burrow. Louis had also arrived at the same time, but he was sleeping together with the boys.

"Totally", I agreed and we got out of our beds. As I looked around the room for my favorite sweatshirt I subconsciously noticed that the other girls had already gone downstairs. Their beds were empty and I could see a their clothes scattered around the room. I finally found my sweatshirt and put it on together with a pair of dark jeans. Roxanne had already finished and she was waiting for me by the door.

James' grandmother, Molly, had made the most delicious breakfast and I had devoured it together with a cup of hot chocolate. She had seemed very content with herself when I had complimented her cooking skills between bites. Roxanne had swallowed her own breakfast just as hungrily as I had.

Everyone had arrived at the burrow by the time Roxanne and I had finished breakfast. There were so many people, and so many people to be introduced to. After I had met everyone I had forgotten who most of what everyone were called. I remembered a few, mostly those who stood out. Teddy was one of those, because he had blue hair. Bill was another, because of his scar. After meeting everyone I got back to the group of friends I was used to hanging out with.

"Your family is amazing. I can't even remember the last time I saw my aunt. I wished my family was more connected", I told Louis as I took a sip of the drink in my hand. He smiled and flipped his hair with one of his hands.

"I guess it's cool, although sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming", he confessed with a shrug. Us teens were kind of just chilling by the stairs, just talking amongst ourselves. Louis had seemed a bit bothered earlier. If I were to guess, I would say that it had something to do with his family. I didn't want to pry, but at the same time I didn't like to see him unhappy. Especially on Christmas.

"You know that I wouldn't tell anyone about your business if you told me, right?" Louis met my eyes and raised his eyebrows in surprise. He straightened a bit and I couldn't help but notice how caught of guard he looked.

"How do you know that there is any business?", he wondered while tilting his head slightly. I looked towards the grown ups, how they all seemed comfortable and careless. They looked like taken out of some movie.

"I guess I just notice that kind of things", I told him honestly. Louis bit his lip before looking up, searching between the other teens. When he found what he was looking for, or rather who, he waved them over and then he started to pull me towards the backdoor. When I turned around I saw Roxanne following us. She had a town between her plucked brows, both worried and confused.

Louis led us outside and a bit away from the house. Once we came to a tree we stopped. It was a willow and under it's branches there was no snow. Louis sat down, leaning his back against the trunk while closing his eyes. Roxanne caught up with us and sat down next to Louis. She put her hand on his knee. I followed her example and sat down on the other side of Louis. After a few minutes of silence he opened his eyes again.

"I told mum and dad that I wanted to try to contact that model agency, the one from last summer. They were immediately against it. They said 'That isn't a job for wizards.' Maybe I don't want a job for wizards", Louis started to vent. I had no idea what model agency he was talking about, but I figured that I just shouldn't ask questions. It wasn't really time for that.
