Carrying a drowsy Mohana blanketed in the chunky pink throw, constantly murmuring proceedings about a litigation, Omar rushed them inside a moderately sized residence. "This is not extremely drowsy, this is torturous!" he growled in a strained whisper to the tall young man approaching the hallway to welcome him

Guiding Omar through the mud room, Jasper offered in his own hushed whisper "That's what Offeapa does, but it works efficiently"

"Definitely efficient in threatening my existence" Omar grumbled in complaint, motioning to the petite editor-in-chief in his arms

"Yet here you are, still surviving and carrying her around" a woman's stern voice commented from the passage ahead, her snow blue eyes piercing through Omar

"Gioia" murmuring assuredly, Jasper wrapped an arm around Zaniha's waist, tugging her to himself. Easing the thick tension in the air, he voiced words of comfort "She's nearly there" motioning to the bundled Mohana whose cheeks were glowing with color

"Ya" forming a mumble only for her husband to hear Zaniha gripped on to his hand. Giving a burning glare to the designer celebrity, she looked away dismissing his presence altogether

Caressing her small back, Jasper guided Zaniha inside the room, whispering encouragingly "It'll be alright. Let's get her settled"

On an acknowledging hum, the delectable woman, her dark hair tied in a voluminous top knot, stepped ahead in the dimly lit room to pull at the covers from the bed.

Exchanging a glance with Jasper, following behind them in the room, Omar carefully laid Mohana against the plump pillows. Throwing the coverlet over her shoulders, he gently circled her temple whispering "You're comfortable?"

Unable to grasp the changes around her, Mohana registered the only voice that mattered. Clasping lightly on to his wrist, she gave a murmur of affirmation "Hmm"

"Am right here and we are together but am going to talk to our friend for a few minutes and then we'll come back to our case, alright?" whispering gently to the drowsy woman, hovering above her as she lay reclined, Omar stood nearly paused, for the other couple in the room to share a bemused glance.

On a light stir as Mohana turned to face him, increasing the distance between them, Omar stepped a few good inches from the bed. Reviewing his tall frame slightly bent sideways, his hand in captivation of smaller ones, Zaniha bubbled with annoyance. Turning around to her husband, she furiously whispered "What is he doing?"

"Gioia, dolcezza, let's cut him some slack" Jasper coaxed, assuredly blinking his eyes he caressed her back

Missing the hushed exchange between the couple, Omar glanced around them, checking on the baby boy "Jehan?"

"Asleep. Must take after someone who likes taking naps" Zaniha bit out the words, painfully looking at Omar as she approached his side

"Yeah, it was a long journey and what better use of my time" Omar offhandedly shrugged as Zaniha felt for Mohana's forehead to interpret her temperature

Seemingly almost in partnership to his words, a low hum came from Mohana, making Zaniha quickly pull her hand away and glance at her husband. The room fell silent, as they all waited for any other input, but Mohana chose not to elaborate further

Partially easing the faint grip Mohana had on Omar's hand, Zaniha took hold of her wrist, lightly pressing a thumb to capture the pulse. Omar stood indifferently besides them, not paying any specific heed to the unwell Mohana who was now weakly latched on to his hand with only one of hers.
