I don't know if it was the way Draco said it, or what.

As soon as those words left his lips, my heart fluttered.

The butterflies in my stomach emerged, and danced around inside my body.

Why was he being nice to me all of a sudden?

I was supposed to hate Draco

I wasn't supposed to feel like this!

"W-what's that suppose to mean?" I managed to spit out.

"You can't miss them.  Your eyes, are so captivating.   I can't help but look at them.   They are so... mesmerizing." Draco spoke softly as he looked into my eyes.

"So.... so are your's.  They are blue, nothing but blue." My mouth seemed to speak, before I could even think.

"Yeah, you're looking at me just like you were at the Quidditch World cup game." Draco chuckled.

"So are you." I blurted out.

The words were pouring out of my mouth at this point.

I couldn't even think about what I was saying, before the words fell out of my lips.

"Yeah, well.... you just looked so different this year...." Draco trailed off, as he continued to look into my eyes.

Though the party went on outside the room, it felt like only Draco and I were on this planet.

"Is that why you keep staring at me?" I joked.

"Your looks give me every reason to stare." Draco quickly replied.

This wasn't the Draco I knew.

The Draco I knew would have told me I looked like the bottom of a ogre's foot.

Draco lifted his hand up, placing it softly on the side of my face.

His thumb traced soft circles across my skin.

"You're not dating Cedric, are you?" Draco asked me.

"No, we're just friends.  He likes Cho, he's going to the ball with her." I replied quickly.

"Wasn't sure." Draco let out a nervous laugh.

"Why do you ask?" I questioned.

Draco didn't answer.

He quickly pulled his other hand up to the other side of my face.

Draco quickly pulled my face into his, smashing his lips into mine.

Draco moved his lips slowly, as his kissed me.

Draco's soft lips tasted so good.

A blissful, warm sensation filled my body, as we continued to kiss.

Our lips seemed to fit so perfectly with one another's.

Our hearts seemed to beat as one.

I'm kissing Draco Malfoy!

I'm kissing Draco Malfoy?

We both realized what was happening, and quickly broke away from each other.

Draco and I pushed ourselves away from one another.

We stared at the wall in front of us, as we breathed heavily.

"So, um.... you playing Quidditch this year?" Draco asked, trying to make conversion to cover the awkwardness that filled the room.

"....I don't know.... I've never played... Quidditch...." I spoke nervously.

"... oh.... well... I'm playing...." Draco slowly replied.

"You always play...." I said.

We both sat there in silence for awhile.

Neither of us moved a muscle, as we both stared off into the distance.

Every inch of my body was filled with anxiety.

I needed to get out of there.

"Well, it's getting late.  I better got to bed." I said as I quickly stood up.

"Let me, walk you home." Draco replied, as he quickly stood up as well.

"I'll be fine, I don't want you to miss the rest of your party"

"I insist." Draco argued.

There was no changing his mind.

So, Draco and I walked through the halls in awkward silence.

We couldn't really talk, we didn't want to risk being caught in the halls after hours.

"Welp, good night." I told Draco as we approached the Gryffindor house.

"See, um... see you in class." Draco replied, as he turned and walked away.

I let out a sigh of relief, as I entered the Gryffindor common room.

I was relieved, until I saw Fred Weasley sitting on the couch.

"I've been waiting for you." He smiled.

He got up from the couch, and hugged me.

"I, um, went to a party with Cedric." I replied nervously.

Oh, Fred.

"You seem tense, everything alright?" Fred asked me, kissing my cheek.

"Yeah, I am just tired.   I really should be getting to bed." I said, wiggling from his grip.

"Oh, ok.  Well, after class you want to go to Diagon Alley with me.   We can look at dresses for the Yule Ball." Fred asked.

"Sure, Freddy. Good night." I quickly turned, and walked into my room.

Before he could even reply, I slammed the door shut.

I changed quickly, and flopped down on my bed.

Why did I feel so guilty?

I wasn't dating Fred, we were just going to the ball together.

Why the fuck did I kiss Draco?

Why the hell did kissing him feel so wrong, but so right?
