Draco clenched his jaw with anger.

His body seemed to stiffen up.

"Why do you have such a problem with someone doing something nice for you?!" Draco glared at me.

Turned to him, and quickly stood up.

Draco stood up, standing before me.

"I don't want to owe you anything.  I don't want this to turn into a 'remember when I did this for you', situation." I replied harshly.

Draco took a small step closer.

He looked me up and down a few times.

Draco's face seemed to soften.

"I don't expect anything in return." Draco whispered.

"Why did you get the dress, then?" I asked in a much quieter tone now.

I now felt bad for yelling at Draco.

He looked sheepish as he spoke.

Like a kid who was awaiting punishment from a parent.

"I heard you talking to Cedric about how much you liked the dress.  Your eyes sparkle when you talk about it, kind of like those stars you like." Draco forced a small smile, which curled the corners of his lips up.

"I like the rain too." I forced a smile in return.

"Is that why you're sitting out here in the cold?" Draco asked, looking around the court yard.

It was cold.

You could see our breath turn to clouds as it met the air.

Everything was dark and wet.

"It's not that cold." I lied.

Draco shook his head at my response.

"Your lips are turning purple, your cheeks and nose are red."

"Whatever." I rolled my eyes.

"I like the rain too," Draco spoke quickly, "I like to dance too. Dancing in the rain, you can't beat it."

"I don't think I've ever danced in the rain." I replied quietly.

Draco gasped.

"Come on, come on! You must dance in the rain!" Draco grabbed me by my hands quickly, and pulled me out to the middle of the court yard.

"Nooooo!" I sarcastically laughed, "We don't even have any music!"

"We don't need any music!" Draco smiled brightly, as he spun me around in a quick circle.

The cool rain fell, soaking every inch of the two of us, as we spun in circles.

Draco's eyes lit up with joy, as we both laughed and enjoyed our time together.

Draco quickly pulled my body close to his, wrapping his arms around my waist.

I placed my arms on the top of his shoulders.

"There's something I forgot to mention." Draco spoke, looking down and into my eyes once more.

"What's that?" I giggled, as the two of us spun in a slow circle.

"I've never danced in the rain." Draco smirked.

Before I could even respond, Draco quickly kissed me.

He moved his lips slowly, as he kissed me long and hard.

Draco kissed me with a purpose.

He kissed me with meaning.

"Ahhem." I voice echoed throughout the court yard.

Draco and I quickly broke apart, and stepped away from each other.

Our heads snapped to where the voice came from.

There stood professor McGonagall, who had a slight smile across her lips.

"It's getting rather late, and cold.  I suggest the two of you get inside, before you come down with something." She spoke before walking away.

Draco and I nervously glanced back at each other.

Neither of us knew what to say.

We just turned away from each other, and walked away.

I walked through the corridors, scolding myself.

Stop kissing Draco.

Stop letting him in!

I entered the Gryffindor commodore, and there sat Fred.

"What are you doing?" I asked him.

"Waiting for you.   Where were you? Why are you wet?" Fred quickly stood up.

Why is everyone so worried on where I am?!

"I was playing in the rain." I quickly replied.

"That's a weird hobby.  You figure out where that dress came from?" Fred spoke again.

"No." I lied.

I knew if I would have told him it came from Draco Malfoy, we would have bigger problems than we already got.

The Weasley boy's aren't very fond of the Malfoy's.

"Strange." Fred gave me a weak smile.

Even though Fred stood before me, all I could think about was Draco.

The thought of Draco was constantly occupying my mind.

"You look, tense.  Almost nervous.  Am I making you nervous?" Fred asked, as he stepped closer.

I swallowed hard.

"No, I am just tired." I forced a laugh out.

"Oh, I'm glad I'm not making you nervous." Fred combed through my long hair, with the tips of his fingers.

He closed his eyes, and started to lean in.

Oh god.

Don't do this, Fred!

I stepped back quickly.

"Well, good night, Fred." I quickly spoke, I walked down the hallway into my room.

I turned back for a second.

Fred stood in the same spot I left him.

His head hung low, he stared at the ground, almost as if he was defeated.

"...goodnight." Fred sighed, and I quickly shut the door.

Hermione was already fast asleep.

I quickly got changed into dry clothing, and laid down on my bed.

All I could think about was Draco

I don't know why I felt back about kissing him.

I don't know why I felt so terrible about dodging Fred's kiss.

I guess the guilt of everything was keeping me up.

I couldn't seem to fall asleep.

I laid there for hours, staring at the dark ceiling.

"Shit." I told myself.

I got up to my feet, and walked out of the room.
