April x Donnie - oneshots Vol.1

Dating in secret

One Shot Synopsis: April and Donnie have been secretly dating for a year, they are doing well in that aspect. However, things can change when someone else finds out.

April entered the Turtles' hideout, she was trying not to be seen, but Mikey and Leo noticed her entering.

"Well, look who's showing up early." Leo joked, pointing at April.

"April!" Mikey exclaimed happily "what are you doing here?"

She showed two pizza boxes, that was her background, if she was seen she would say she just came to bring the pizzas for them.

"I brought pizza!" She said smiling.

As soon as they heard the word "pizza", Leo and Mikey jumped on top of the boxes, Raph appeared from midair to grab a piece. April laughed, and asked.

"Has anyone seen Donnie? He told me he wanted to show me something."

"Must be in the lab, as usual." Leo said stuffing his mouth with pizza.

April takes another pizza box and walks to the lab, when she got there she saw the soft-shell leaning over her desk, it must be fixing something.

She approached without making a sound, not that that was possible, but she tried and that's what matters. As soon as she got close enough to Donnie she whispered.

"What is my boyfriend doing?"

Donnie jumped at the whisper, and April laughed a little, she set the pizza box on the table and smiled at Donatello. She loved the look on his face when she called him "boyfriend", she still hadn't given him any affectionate nicknames. For some reason she felt like she was going to call him affectionately in front of his brothers.

He looked at her and stuck out his tongue, but right after he hugged her, after the two of them started dating he felt like hugging April every time he saw her. Her heart skipped a beat every time she smiled, and she felt warm inside her. April returned the hug with a kiss, something Donnie didn't deny, or at least couldn't resist.

The feel of each other's lips was still... a little different. To Donnie, April's lips were soft and smooth and sweet, every time her lips touched his mouth he felt his heart skip a beat. As for April, Donnie's lips were firm, also sweet and always gentle, imagine April's surprise when she discovered that Donatello was good at kissing. Well, she had never imagined that.

She let out a sigh, and Donnie smiled. When the two realized it, April was sitting on Donnie's lap, who by that point had turned extremely red. She gave a little chuckle.

"Sorry Donnie. I'm going to-" When she tried to get up he pulled her back, April's face found Donnie's shoulder, he caught her in a hug.

"Can I get up? " she asked with a little smile.

"No you can not. But thanks for asking." he said with a smug smile.

"Doooonnnniiiieeee" she moaned putting her hands to cover her face which was very red.

He hugged her tighter, and let out a laugh.

" How is my amazing girlfriend doing? " he said with a wide smile, he placed a kiss on the top of her head.

" You know what?" April asked nestling her head in Donnie's cravat, "I like it when you call me 'my girlfriend'." She smiled, a light smile that made Donnie's heart flutter and his cheeks turned even redder. They held each other for a while longer. Until they heard a squeak.

"OHMIGOD!"

The two looked back and saw Mikey, he had a wide smile on his face, with a slight jump he ran out to tell his brothers what he had seen.

How long were they there? What had Mikey seen? The two looked at each other and ran after Mikey, they got to him before he reached the kitchen, where Leo and Raph were. Donnie pulled Mikey aside and whispered to him.

"You can't tell Raph or Leo anything, understand?"
" Why? They would be so happy for you and April to be together." Mikey said with an excited expression.

" No. Look Angelo..." sighed Donnie "April and I decided to keep it a secret, we were hoping one of you would find out, but it's still all very... new... you know?" Donnie looked at April and smiled.

Mikey looked at his brother's passionate expression, and he seemed happier around April, he was happy for his brother.

"Alright, alright. I will be quieter than a mouse." He said to Donnie, he turned to April and with his best attempt at a 'threatening face' said, "If you hurt my brother I'll kill you. I'm watching."

April gave a little laugh, giving Mikey a kiss on the cheek she smiled and said."You can count on me, I would never hurt him." She kissed Donnie and said "he's my boyfriend after all."

The two returned to the lab, while Mikey, from that day on, began to suffer from the pressure of keeping that big secret. Can he keep this unusual couple a secret any longer?
