Chapter 8

I had woken up and as much as I tried to remove the bags under my eyes they still remained.

And of course Lysander and Ilya noticed and asked if I was fine, and I told him I was.

Leonid was still asleep and Nikolai went for early practice.

"Chris I if you don't want to tell us it's fine but don't lie" Ilya said the way he looked at me causing me to flinch. He seemed to have noticed as he closed his eyes and left the house entering the Toyota land cruiser.

"If you don't want to go to school you don't have to okay" Lysander told me giving me a gentle smile.

"Thanks Lysander but I'm fi- , I'm willing to go to school" I told him with a fake smile still remembering what Ilya said. I could tell he knew my smile was fake.

"And shouldn't you be at work, I thought doctors were ultra busy all the time" I said trying to lighten the mood.

He chuckled"I am but I moved my patients of the week to a few of my colleagues and the paperwork is brought to me or I go to work for it to check up on everyone" was his reply.

"So you start going to the hospital full time next week" I couldn't help but frown. He's basically becoming the second Aleksandr.

"Yeah, but I won't be as busy as I usually am so you'll still see me more than usual plus I am the chairman of VH, father made sure of that before he..." his happy smile slowly turned into a sad smile.

"Wh-What happened to your parents?" I couldn't help but ask. I mean it was the first time they were mentioning their parents.

"They're yours too Anna and I'll tell about them when you come back to school if you're still interested" he gave said still giving me a smile.

"Now off you go" he chuckled pushing me towards the Toyota land cruiser.

"Okay, okay...Sanny" I told him a chuckle making its way to my lips, I stopped as I felt Lysander freeze behind me.

When I turned to face him his lilac blue eyes looked glossy. "Lysander what's wrong?" I asked worryingly.

"Y-you called me Sanny" was his reply, my eyes widened I must have not noticed. Was he angry.

"Sor-" I was cut off by a hug.

"Don't Anna it's just you used to call me that before yo-... just don't stop calling me Sanny" I nearly cried at the break of his voice.

"Okay S-Sanny see you after school" I told him knowing that if I stayed longer with him I would cry.

He looked at me and nodded as he stood up. "May I" Lysander asked his hands on my shoulders. I nodded at him as he gave me a forehead kiss.

With that he pushed me to the car where the driver if I'm not wrong Jayson was standing. His hands where holding the door for me as I nodded at him "Jayson".

"Young missus" he greeted me his other hand going in front of me as he bowed at me. By now I was used to the staff bowing every time they saw me but that didn't mean that I still didn't get embarrassed when it happened.

As soon as the door closed in front of me was a sleeping Ilya and I remembered what happened inside the house along with that I remembered my nightmare.

I turned to the window "I apologize for my actions Chris" I turned to look at Ilya in shock. His eyes half closed but I knew he was wide awake.

"You don't have to apologize, I-I me-mean I'm the one who lied to you" his eyes fully opened and I flinched.

"You did lie but, my reaction should not have caused you to flinch just like now" he paused looking through the window.
"Chris I just have bad history with liars so when I wrote the rule about lying and it's consequences I was very serious" he finished and I couldn't help but gulp.
